Looking for suggestions for two dinners. Would like something in the moderate price range. Staying on the strip.

It's not on the Strip, but Lotus of Siam is the best Thai food you are going to find in the United States, and the prices are not outrageous either.

I think there is an Outback Steakhouse a short walk from Harrah's.

Il Mulino in the Caesar's Forum Shops is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Bouchon is a Thomas Keller restaurant in the Venetian that is also great. If you like good views, go to the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. It's on the 64th floor and has a huge outdoor patio where you can have a drink. It's at the foot of the strip and is the best view in Vegas.

I have to disagree, respectfully. I believe the best few in Vegas is from my room the last time I went. Not just a window either. It was a nice sized balcony.

Well there are plenty of good views; this is the Foundation Room at night:

Mandalay actually has two hotels with restaurants/clubs on the 64th floor. Next door at THEHotel you take a glass elevator up to Mix, which is a great spot for drinks.

I believe I gave that recommendation...

But on a side note.... Overall, I have to give the best view nod to the Foundation Room....but you can't sleep there.

Joe's Stone Crab in the Forum is my go to. Eat there every time i'm in Vegas.

I'll second Lotus and add that while it's not on the strip, it's pretty close, particularly to the north end of it.

If you have a vehicle, it's very easy to get to from the strip (and it's in a strip mall, so parking is easy). IF you don't have a vehicle, a taxi ride there won't break the bank and walking may be an option (though I'm not sure if it's a pedestrian friendly walk...I always have a vehicle when I'm in Vegas).

Had a great meal at Julian Serrano which is a Spanish Tapas restaurant in the Aria. Check out the menu below to see if it fits your bill:

ETA: Lotus of Siam is damned good also. Short cab ride from the strip

That's pretty awesome, but there's something about sitting on your balcony, sipping a drink while the fountain goes off and dances with the lights to Sinatra...

We went to PJ Clarke's at Caesars last fall when we got hitched in Vegas. I got a skirt steak and fries that was good, my wife got a great hamburger. They had a decent beer selection and nice East Coast oysters. Ran us just under $100.
I had wanted to go to Lotus of Siam but it didn't work out. Next time!

If you're a good looking group of girls, Beso will give you free food and booze as long as you sit in the lounge.

The one thing I love about having our work convention back in LV is that I can use all of the girls to get in everywhere and get free shite. I'll take them there in June then.
