Its funny how stores mark up Ghost and y'all blame the stores yet stores mark up GR beers and y'all blame GR.

It's funny how I can buy 48oz of Ghost for the same price I can buy 22oz of G&G. Actually, that's not funny at all.

Though I heard of people in New Orleans buying Grace and Grit for $8.49 a bomber this week. That's a much more reasonable price, and one I'm more willing to pay.

It is $12 at the brewery. Stores here typically sell it for $10-$12.

I saw it as $12.99 down here, so i'm assuming not much markup on top of what it already is.

And i must have missed the explanation for the price point could you give me cliff notes? Hop contract? price to brew, etc... Not being a dick, genuinely curious. And is Parish just getting better prices on their contracts than GR, thus the lower cost/oz. comparatively speaking?

I know Ross has said on here, that they were aware of the price point and were looking to lower it, but so far, it's the same price as when it was first released, at least where i shop.

This is an inquisitive post, not taking shots at any one poster, brewery, or whatever, so please treat it as such (not particularly addressing you Salmon, just trying to keep it civil).

Now that was 2 batches ago and the price is still the same so I don't know what happened, but that was his explanation the last time this topic came up.

I sure hope the OG Mavens didn't run Ross off. The Arkanas business tactics don't bother me and I appreciate his info. I wish I got paid to post on the internets.

I bet this thread would have been a lot more entertaining if I had a beer to read it with.

yeah realized we probably already have some 3/15 envie en route. really only got it to be able to ghostify the grace and grit if it was that same red ale recipe. figured pouring 2 envie in with it would bring it to a drinkable level.

I was about to say, if the freshest we have is 2/29, Parish is slippin'

It's not like their beer has to come from Arkansas.

They're working on a dark lager and a pale lager that'll be canned in time for summer. To compete with Great Raft's offerings directly.

Yeah, I'm excited about more Arkansas whales. I loved all their other seasonals. I've got a couple cases of Awkward Uncle aging right now. I was kinda pissed, I checked on them last week and apparently someone bought one.

Thankfully my Provisions and Traditions are still safely shelf aging.
