Type of Pressure Cooker Advice

I have some left over money from Christmas and was looking at getting a Pressure Cooker. Would the board recommend and a Breville Fast/slow cooker or the InstaPot. I have no experience with either but both have good reviews. I understand these are not "true" pressure cookers, but both would fit my need. Anyone have either and recommend one over the other?

I have the Instant Pot Duo. I've only had it a couple of weeks. I've used it twice and I'm pleased with it so far. It's not a true pressure cooker? News to me, but I've never had a pressure cooker before. I love the fact that you can brown/saute food in the stainless steel liner before either slow cooking or pressure cooking. Very nice feature.

I've never owned a pressure cooker. I guess I understand that it uses pressure in the cooking process . . .
But what is its advantage? Less cooking time? Really, I've never owned one.

Yes, less cooking time. Cooking time for a pot roast was an hour, for a chicken stew, fifteen minutes. I'm too much of a novice to be able to be much help. I spent extra time trying to figure out when to open the damn thing.

Can't say anything about the two you mention, but I have a Fagor and it works great.

I bought 2 countertop digital pressure cookers on QVC. They were fairly inexpensive but cool because they could also be used as a slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer as well as a pressure cooker. Set it and forget it, for the most part.
If you needed to sear the meat though, well, that was better done in a pan on the stove. But I wouldn't buy another one from them, because they were made of cheap plastic and the lids broke on both of them. (I dropped them.)
I actually own 3 pressure cookers at the moment - 2 specialty pressure fryers that go for almost $200 each new, but I got them at garage sales for $30 total. They are stove-top and I use them to make KFC Original style fried chicken. My 3rd one is a large pressure canner that I can can 7 quarts of chili in.
I do want to get another digital countertop model, buy I'm going to go for better quality next time.

I have a Kuhn Rikon stovetop model. Works well, but it's not set and forget.
The instapot gets some coverage over at the Dad Cooks Dinner blog. He usually has good info.

We got the Duromatic by Kuhn Rikon a couple yrs ago and it works great. Bought a glass lid as an accessory which is nice. Ours is the 8 Qt, but they also have a 12 Qt for not much more $.
Size wise it's 11 1/4" ID and we have cooked a 10 lb turkey, 10 lb Boston butt, 4 1/2 lb load of peanuts, etc.
The larger diameter and capacity is a big reason we chose this one. Heavy, well made, but pricey.

I have the Instapot Duo and use it all the time. Love it. I don't know why someone said it's not really a pressure cooker. That is odd. It functions as multiple things, one of them being a pressure cooker.

I can cook a pot of soaked red beans in an hour and the ham hocks will be falling apart. It also makes excellent stocks in a fraction of the time.
Fissler, all American and Kuhn Rikon are the top brands with all American being geared more toward canning. An 8 quart is the perfect size for 90% of what most people cook such as stocks, beans, roasts, etc.

I posted that top pic here a few months ago (it was a friend of my sister who took it) and I've seen it all over the web.

Got an instant pot duo for Christmas. Cooked the best roast beef for Poboys I have ever tasted. Used it for several other dishes. Very impressed by this product. Lots of you tube instructional videos.
