If Regina's is only 29th, I can't imagine how good the top 28 are.

Agreed.

I like all types of pizza and haven't what I consider to be a 'bad' style. With that said, Chicago style is by far my favorite.

You must have not been since they sold out to venture-capitalists, and expanded.

They suck.

If you have been since then, it means you have horrible taste.

I will say the worst pizza I ever had was still decent. It may be my favorite food. But again, I'm with Tulane, deep dish is way down the list for me. But it speaks to power of pizza that we all have so wide and varying opinions.

I agree with a lot of this list but shocked Rosie's in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ didn't make it. Nunzio's was a great add to this list.

Would be curious to see how your algorithm ranks Home Slice in Austin. Have you ever been there?

Fiori's, Mineo's, Donte's, and Vincent's in Pittsburgh are all worthy of a spot.

Glad for your return friend. I can only hope you are starting to ponder top 10 lists for this Christmas season.

I've had ambivalent feelings about TulaneLSU for some time now but no longer.

I don't like him.

If this pizzeria were in New York, you would hear about it in the same breath as Lucali and John’s of Bleecker. It flies under the national pizza radar, but you now have no excuse to act surprised when you realize that the best pizza outside the Northeast Corridor is in the middle of Arkansas.

was not impressed at all. if this is 12 on list of 100 makes me question the list. Also 3 top 10's in new haven, CT?? maybe im not in the know but that doesnt strike me as a pizza hot spot.

I do agree with Tulane on the deep dish, but it's all about the crust, it totally ruins everything for me. I guest it has to be like that to hold the mere weight of the ingredients, but I can get past that crust and just don't like it at all.

Been to most of the name pizza joints in Chicago and they are all very similar and for me crust is all the same and that is the deal killer for me.

Yep, Pequod's was far and away better than any of the other deep dish pizza joints in Chicago. Their crust is awesome.

Re: Chicago pizza, let's acknowledge many people eating pan and deep dish are weekend visitors, such as yourselves. I have a slice or two of deep dish, maybe, once each year. Most everyone living here prefers bar / tavern, whether it's Professor Pizza, Michael's, Phil's, Pat's, Vito & Nick's, Pizza Matta, etc., etc., etc.

I did Pequod's twice. Lou Malnati's, Uno, Due, Gino's East and one or two others multiple times as well. For me the one common denominator was the crust and as indicated that was the deal killer for me....just don't like the deep dish crust and I found them all pretty much the same.

Just went to John’s of Bleecker this past week. Wasn’t that impressed honestly. It was good but I think L’industrie was better.

Again, deep dish, by-and-large, is a visitor's pie. Totally understand you fall into that bucket, but why did you try so much deep dish if you know if wasn't for you? My recommendation for your next visit is to run with a bar / tavern cut. Provided some immediate recommendations in my initial post, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of the countless other spots with tavern cut.

As random aside, Milly's is pretty easily the best deep dish / pan in the city right now. Might be a good alternative for those that wanted to like Pequod's (pan) but just need something "more."
