The fruit tarte is incredible. I go there just to buy those and bring them home.

That's my fave. I've always wondered why they closed the French Quarter location.

I used to work next to one of these places. I once had a nice female suitor that was interested in getting to know me in a carnal sense. We met there for coffee once, and the coffee was terrible. The pastry I had was good though. This was 20 years ago and I don't remember what the pastry was, but about a week later I did get to sample the young lady's pastry and it was divine.

I used to get the bottled TB soup, heat it up and pour it over French bread and eat it. I haven't done that in years, but it was so good.

We do something similar. Make an olive cheese bread to go with the soup. It’s killer

Most of their food is now Sysco high end items. Before La Madeleine sold to current conglomerate the food was made in-house or at La Madeleine commissary then shipped to its stores. I stopped going shorty after it sold off many years ago.

It’s been many years approx 15 plus, I’m sure longer. I ate there all the time. Got to know the managers, trying to remember more details but right now I just remember being told that after the take over a transition would take place. Sure enough pastries started changing and other food items started to change and the manager was informing me of all the changes. So, I stopped going.

It could be hyperbole or it could be truth when I say that la Madeleine’s is the only great contribution Dallas has made to the world

WRONG! They have been delivering Cowboys incompetence and losses for quite a few years now

Duet Magnifique-- Chicken Caesar sandwich with a side of pasta salad and a cup of tomato basil soup.

I miss La Madeleine . We don't have those here.
