Friend,

I know you get a lot of shite on here, but you are a legitimate treasure on TD. Reading your top 10 and review posts rarely fail to make me physically smile, and sometimes is the brightest part of my otherwise sad, piss-poor day. Kind of reminds me of those old Arseinclass weekened food review posts.

Please, never stop being you.

Sincerely yours,
TF99

Friends,

LSUJML, our relationship is entirely cluckonic. She is not my type, nor am I likely her type. She is, though, a great cashier and a credit to the profession. You can meet Julie if you go to our local Popeyes. Do tell her I said hello. No pictures, please.

FunBunch, I have been accused of being many other posters and even some local celebrities. But our dear friend, GynoSandberg, is a first.

Cosmo, even though I enjoy eating at the food court of Lakeside Shopping Center, I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have eaten at that Cafe du Monde. Would one even consider it part of the food court? It feels so isolated at that split in the walkway where one must choose J.C. Penney or Dillard's. If I am eating dessert at Lakeside, you can be assured that I will be eating at Great American Cookie Company. I once was a double doozie man, chocolate chip only, not that corruption of fudge chocolate or infused with M&Ms. As I have matured I have begun to get the cake slices. I always ask the artist to add extra icing and a design on my slice -- that it already has icing on it matters not, as more icing is good icing. The beignets? I remember them being typical CDM beignets, nothing exceptional, but also nothing terrible. Certainly better than Popeyes beignets.

Spleen, please speak more respectfully of Mother. She is a lady of grandeur and refinement. She shielded me from guilty pleasures like Domino's and Popeyes only out of love. I am sorry your mother did not offer the same maternal affection and protection to you.

toof, rarely is someone incorrect about food and life as often as you are. It is an accomplishment, though, one I would not wish to achieve.

RidiculousHype, I walk 15-20 miles a day. A 3,000 calorie meal is easily burned. During some of my meals at Golden Corral, I have eaten over 10,000 meals. Those were tough walks to the car. Masks work.

L.A., I do not know. Some people might infer that my relationship with Mother is modeled after that silly novel, which had no point, but there really are no similarities. I had to read that childish story in juvenile school, and I did not like it even a little. I have not read it again, nor do I plan to read such an uninteresting and unfulfilling book.

Carson and TigerFan99, your kind words for me are not deserved. Nonetheless, I remain touched by your generosity and propitious words. Although some posters think nothing of tearing down my character and my family's love, those words do hurt. We should all be kind to each other, even Oweo and tigerbait07.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Even at a fast walking rate of 4 miles/ hour that is 4 to 5 hours of walking per day. I’m doing good to walk 1 hour a day @ ~ 3.5+ miles/hour. Of course, Mother & I are probably from the same generation.

I agree w/ you about Popeye’s biscuits; they were better back in the 80’s.
