I saw that this place has been open a couple of months or so. They don’t have a menu posted but they have some interesting pictures on Facebook.

Will report back.

**Update**

So we sat at the noodle bar where we could watch the food being prepared. The place was packed and very loud. We liked everything that we ordered. The restaurant encourages sharing. This is a very different type of restaurant than anything I have seen in BR. Took a few pics.

Started out with the variety of meats cooked on skewers. You can order a set of 3 or 6. They are very tiny so I would recommend getting the 6 pack if you order them. Ours came with a pair each of chicken, tuna belly, and duck. Each with its own sauce. The duck was by far the best of the three. Very tender and flavorful.

Also got an order of the wagyu dumplings

For entree’s we ordered a brisket ramen bowl, Drunken Noodles, and Imperial Wagyu Bo Luc Lac. We all liked the Drunken Noodles the best.

Here are the drunken noodles. Menu description is Wagyu Sirloin, homemade rice noodles, kale, Brussels sprouts, Serrano, and a sunny duck egg.

Next is the Imperia Wagyu. Marinated sirloin, Basmati rice, marinated cabbage, spicy Nguyen sauce, pickled onion, mint, and kewpie mayo.

Third entree was the brisket ramen. We were going to order the Tonkotsu pork broth ramen but the waitress recommended the Brisket ramen which replaced the chicken ramen as a special.

We finished it off with a light dessert. I forgot the proper description but it is basically a fried fancy cookie that tastes exactly like a fortune cookie filled with cream and garnished with mango and mint.

We did not drink any alcohol but the drink menu looked interesting. Definitely a place worth trying if you are into Asian, Thai, and even had an Indian Dish on the menu. Final bill was $84.00.

Sadly, I don't have anything to contribute to this thread. Those fricks don't honor reservations.

The only thing I could comment on is how hot the bar is. We spent a lot of time there waiting for our table that didn't materialize.

In six months, after they get the bugs worked out, and if they are still in business, I may give them another try.

Stay tuned.

Well, I have had reservations one time that they didn't honor. Do you think that it didn't happen?

Sounded like you've been turned down multiple times with reservations

What happened the one time? They just said you don't have them?

Maybe he got a bad one or maybe the head on freaked him out. A friend and I split one a couple months ago and it was awesome.

ETA: When we went we didn't have reservations on a Saturday night. This was in August. We sat/stood at the bar and drank until a spot at the raw bar opened up. We waited a little over an hour I believe. We had a great time. All of the food was really good. The chef at the raw bar kept feeding us delicious morsels on the house.

I don't think anyone is calling you a liar; it's just that having a single bad reservation experience generally isn't considered a permanent deal breaker for most people, especially when it's outside of the norm.

I've had dinner reservations at Soji at least six times, and I've never had to wait longer than five minutes. Give them another shot

I have a friend who made a reservation at 8:30p and their group was not sat until 10:05pm.

This was the 2nd time it happened to my friend.

A co-worker of mine had their reservation canceled the day of, because they said they couldn’t accommodate their party of 5.

So either their hostess staff is a disaster and/or the kitchen moves at a snails pace?

if you are an owner these are good problems to have.
the kinds of issues described are due to them being very busy, and they are very busy because the food is good and it’s a fun place to eat

there’s no excuse for rude or indifferent service but if they are swamped all the time then shite happens. Better that than another boring restaurant in BR

Were they on time for their reservation? And by on time I mean on time. Not "we were on time because we were less than 30m late" on time. Something like that happening twice to the same person reminds me of when someone tells me that they got pregnant while religiously taking their birth control.

Parties of 5 are generally the bane of a hostess' existence, but Soji has multiple three sided booths that fit them fine. I'm surprised it was an issue. But, I imagine it happens on occasion.

We arrived on time and were told by the hostess that our table was being set up and would we mind waiting in the bar area. We sat down in the hot arse bar and waited about 20 minutes.

At this point the hostess came over and mumbled that it would be another 15 or 20 minutes for our table to be ready, but if we liked we could be seated at the bar in the dining area. Well, we were celebrating a birthday, and that wasn't going to work for us.

Now at this point, if the FOH knew their arse from a hole in the ground, they would have apologized and offered something for our inconvenience. They didn't and it was starting to get late on a Tuesday night, so we left and had a nice meal at Marcello's instead.

At this point, they were open about 2 months and I chalked up their mishandling our situation to them not being open long enough to work out the kinks yet. I'll give them another shot after a few months and see if things have changed.

I honestly was looking forward to having dinner at Soji and was disappointed that it didn't work out.

They do late night stuff with live music/DJs, so I have a feeling they get parties camping out more than they expected.

Not excusing the stuff that happened. Just my assumption.

Been there four times, had reservations every time, never had a problem. Really like the place. Their new head sushi chef is legit.
