Word on the street is on Monday the President/CEO of Tin Roof put in his notice to ownership that he had taken a position with Parish. I was told he’s going to be over national accounts like Rouse’s, Publix, HEB, etc. WTH is going on over at Tin Roof??

Talley is leaving? Would be a huge blow to Tin Roof if this happens

Meh, they've improved A LOT over the last year or so. They've had some hits in Haze Melee, The Duck Hunt beer, the collaboration with Weldworks, etc

Seems like that would be a position that would have a non compete clause

He’s a really good dude. Worked with him and his wife back in the day. I hope it’s true because that’s a big step up going to Parish

Voodoo is a fine beer. I also like uber froot and river rose. The haze melee release was great too.

They've really got a pretty good thing going now after a rocky start. I hope this doesn't send them in a tailspin.

Yeah I’m not sure who is drinking those beers to say they are quality. I’ve been underwhelmed with everything TR has put out. Still a good spot to go chill, but the beer is definitely struggling.

Last voodoo I bought one can was great the others were super astringent.

Voodoo is still solid but their latest releases have been very poor. Im sure the beers were good at one point, but they fricked up the canning and the packs I got were skunked. IDK how they put so little effort into QC. That was for the Hi-Low, and magic marshmallows. The collab with Courtyard was just meh. I havent had the latest batch of Haze Melee.

TR gets too much pressure put on them since they're one of the the only games in town and other breweries in nearby cities make better IPAs. The fact is that TR makes decent beer that I'm perfectly happy to drink. Not every brewery has to make world-class hazy IPAs, sours, or BA stouts. There are tons of average breweries in this country and there isn't anything wrong with that.

Aren't they also the only gold medal GABFer in the state?

This may be unpopular, but I think envie is an overcarbonated mess tbh. Jucifer, voodoo, commotion, and holy roller are better with holy roller being the best.

Tin Roof isn’t bad, they’re just not consistent. I never know if I’m going to get a good beer or not so I stopped wasting my money on them.

Why are there not more breweries in town? I'm moving here and very worried about the brewery culture compared to Charleston, where I'm coming from. Breweries are family hangouts there with good beer, food options, and places for kids to run around. Doesn't really seem like BR has anything like that. Is Tin Roof at least a good place to hang out? It wasn't there last time I lived in BR.

So the CEO of a company is leaving to become a National accounts manager for a different company that is a competitor of current company?

Lol
