Like eating 3 or 4 a day. Any opinions on what the best hot dogs out there are in terms of healthiness? Stuff I can easily find at the grocery store. Would prefer real meat and not ones made form pig buttholes.

Thanks

Hebrew National, grilled. There is no substitute.

I finally tried Hebrew National and TBH I didn't care for them. I'll readily admit to there being something wrong with me.

Out of the national brands, give me BallPark

Nathan's. I don't care if they're healthy or not. They're delicious.

Beef, Pork, or Turkey?

Nathans are delicious. So are ball park.

Microwave, stove top, skillet, oven, or grill?

Grill is the best.

a minute in a microwave will do in a pinch.

Chili? Relish? Cheese? Bun or Buds style?

Theoretically, turkey would be the healthiest right?

Id probably prefer beef though.

Probably a combo of microwave and stove top mostly. for at work/speed/mass hot dog cooking

if youre going to microwave them, cut a small score accross the hotdog so it doesnt explode.

Dietz & Watson or Boars Head. Check the deli section in your grocery.

I'm envious of this lifestyle you are starting. HUGE hotdog fan here. Even out of the microwave. But as stated previously, cut across with knife

Pretty sure they use Nathan's. Hebrew Nationals are the best imo.

I spiral cut some Nathan's hot dogs for my kids once and they were probably the best hot dogs I've had. It's kind of a pain in the arse, but the kids love them.

Im probably gonna mostly boil a pack like every other day at my apt to reduce the sodium intake and then, who knows. I might put em in the fridge at work and eat em cold, i might zap em for 10-15 secs.

Any good bun recommendations are appreciated too. Some good whole grain shite with some protein.
