The Popeyes Thigh...

Was deboning some thighs from the grocery store today, and got to wondering,
In a Popeyes thigh, what is the second bone? And what is the surprise you get at the end? Oyster or Kidney?

Part of the lower backbone/pelvic area and it's called the Oyster----that little round chunk of meat.

I got through 12 years of wedded bliss with my wife thinking she liked white meat better, then one day, she ate a thigh by accident. Now I have to fight for them.

the thigh is definitely not trash but it’s way too rich combined with the grease, breading and spice. I always go straight for the thigh then regret it when all I can taste is Popeyes the next day.
I stick to the wings at Popeyes, gets me my fix without paying for it

If I get fried chicken I usually get breast for that reason, too. But to act like the thigh is trash ...... Unforgivable.

Mine still prefers white meat, but my daughter takes all the drumsticks. I give those to her so she leaves the thigh alone. I typically eat both wings and a thigh, daughter gets both drums, and the wife eats part of a breast and cuts bites off of it for my son. I'm not telling him about dark meat yet. The way he eats there would be none left for me.

Or, you could buy extra thighs/dark meat
