How to make PB&J from scratch

The video was kind of unexpectedly mesmerizing and I watched it all the way to the end.

As a parent of two toddlers, I'm about over PB&J. They were fun at first. Now they've become a chore.

For the record, I'm a strawberry jelly fan. Grape is way down the list.

Yeah it's not complicated. White bread, creamy peanut butter of choice, jam or jelly of choice. Make sure the PB is on both slices to create a barrier.

That looks pretty fantastic. I would never do this, but I would not bitch if someone else did it for me

I'm going to get laughed at, but do a tortilla with peanut butter and jelly as a roll up. Kids love them.

Does not check out

For what it’s worth, I find that PB&J is less likely to stick to the roof of your mouth if peanut butter is only one side of the sandwich and the jelly side faces up while eating. In this case, asymmetry is better.

Toasted bread, crunchy Jif, Smucker’s strawberry preserves, and a glass of milk on the side is really all I need. I picked up some red raspberry preserves recently. Blackberry is good too. I used to get some blueberry jam but the store that sold it closed. But that stuff was great.

My son has eaten 2+ pbj sandwiches every single day since he was 2 years old. Every. Single. Day. Sometimes up to as many as 8 in a single day. He's 13 now. He's very picky and it's one of the few things he'll eat.

Yep. I grew up in a strawberry pbj family. Grape is edible, but feels like a midwestern/non-southern thing to me.

For a change-up, add some crispy bacon to a strawberry PB&J, butter the bread and then grill it. Sweet, savory, melty & chewy. It's quite tasty.

That is because you and his mother have allowed this behavior.

Good luck with dealing with that engrained entitlement the rest of his life.

Grew up on my aunt's homemade strawberry jam. Honey wheat bread slightly toasted. Creamy peter pan peanut butter.
