Mid City Pizza is better than all three of those.

A hearty Charlie Murphy "WRONG" to this.

I am not sure if its been mentioned yet, but the Pizza at Istrouma Brewery is very good. IDK if it is best in the state, but it is definitely worth trying if you are in the BR area.

much-ballyhooed Nola Pizza Co. First thing I noticed was that this pie was a little greasier than the other two, but oft times that’s a good thing. When I bit into it, the first thing I noticed was that it was very sour, almost like the essence of sauerkraut.

I noticed the same thing this week in my first visit to NOLA Pizza Co. Nice looking pies, but I didn't like their taste.

OP must not like spicy pizza sauce. Pizza Delicious has the best spicier sauce, IMO.

As I've stated before, I like Pizza Shack but it's a totally different style. I actually prefer West Main in Houma over PS, but West Main literally costs twice as much.

I didn't find it to be spicy at all

Next on my list to try: Paladar 511

Can anyone comment on the pizzas at Gendusa’s in Kenner? Online pics look OK but wondering if it’s worth a jaunt.

Y’all got me contemplating driving 50 miles to try Diversion pizza.

Pizza Delicious is good stuff but I find it quite overrated. I'd rather go to Theo's for something similar to that style.

Wait, what? They are quite different styles of pizza. I like them both, but they aren't similar styles at all really.

Reconsidered after I looked at pics online….looks way too thick and doughy for my preference. But I am gonna try Gendusas and report back.

This. But you have to eat it there, their pickup is always very hit or miss

This guy ate pizza from 35 different places in one week. He wrote an article on it.

The best slice of all was the Sicilian “Freddie Prinze” slice I got from Paulie Gee’s.

That doesn’t look all that good.

The whole pizzas look great. All of them.

It was similar to a Philly tomato pie. Doesn't look all that impressive, but tastes good.

What is with people doing pizza taste tests with cheese pizza?

Jesus H, a lot of places differentiate based on homemade ingredients, like sausage. Stuff like that should be factored in.

Yeah, I get trying to keep it consistent for a true comparison test. But creativity has to also play a part. The toppings and execution are what make some of the places extraordinary.

I’m no pizza pro but think the traditional NE pizzas are plain cheese. Many of the spots I’ve been to in Philly and NYC only offer cheese and pepperoni pizza as options (and we’re usually slammed packed).

You gotta go with what you like, opinions are like assholes. A lot of these places spend a whole lot of time picking the best toppings they can for their individual style of pizza and creating a menu based on what they do best.

Drive 50 more and order one at Bergeron’s on the bayou in Jarreau, LA. Ask for extra cheese on it and get ready for great pizza.
