Full Story - MSN

I've eaten at Terry Black's. They have phenomenal beef ribs. For pork ribs, my vote goes to Stanley BBQ in Tyler.

Pecan Lodge in Dallas has great beef ribs as well.

Off subject a bit. Coopers Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in New Braunfels serves a great pork chop, as does Hard Eight in Coppell. Lockhart BBQ in Dallas serves the best bird I've ever eaten. Delicious smoke.

And the best brisket I have ever eaten is at Smitty's in Lockhart.

Terry Black’s is amazing. I haven’t been to the place listed for my state before but now I’ll make a point to get out that way and try it.

Lived down the street from the Hard Eight in Roanoke for a few years, and I can confirm, the pork chop is AMAZING.

The all-time greatest pork chop, while not BBQ, is from Perry's.

Been a long time since I’ve been to The Joint

They used to be the standard bearer for bbq ribs in NOLa, which wasn’t saying much I guess. Now there are so many newer choices I just don’t think about them

Makes me want to go back for some ribs

The only one I've been to is ZZ Que in Richmond. I fully endorse their selection. The beef ribs, pork ribs and brisket are wonderful.

There are places that do other things better. I still think they may be the standard bearer for ribs, though. When I saw them listed, I got to thinking, and I was hard pressed to come up with an obvious better choice.

One thing I appreciate about Sam's (and Costco too I assume) is that they always have a large display of multi pack ribs out in the meat dept. If I want to cook them, I always know Sam's will have them for me to use.

We might have been neighbors. We left Roanoke when covid hit and I "got retired."

Hi (sort of) neighbor! We lived right on Main Street, opposite end of Oak street off the highway.

We moved there in 2021 and really liked it, but we ended up leaving for Tennessee last summer due to a change in jobs.

That's not a pork chop, that's a whole pork rib roast on it's side!
What in the world does that hunk of meat weigh?

Does look good BTW.

People that don't know will pick on you when you order a pork chop at a steakhouse, but when they bring out that one from Perry's your friends will understand. It's not just huge, it's perfect in every way also.
