I love Banchan. I can't get enough of it.
Any recommendations where to go for good Korean food in New Orleans?

If you can make it to the west coast, go to GEN. It's on another level.

I know They had a dumpster out front for a while but I think It’s still open.

I would eat Korean fried chicken 8 times a week if they would open a restaurant around me.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. And it would be profitable too. Instead, we got Bumsteers, Soulou, Soji.

Nola Korea
Gogi
Both in metairie
We have eaten Korean in Koreatown in Tokyo, LA, Houston, Queens, and Manhattan. Those two listed above are solid (not table bbq though). I would suggest nola korean of the two.
Little Korea on Magazine has BBQ tables. Its pretty good and definitely the best option fir the BBQ experience unless you drive to Houston.

Good options. If you are feeling AYCE go to gangnam BBQ in metairie. They do not have smokeless BBQ tables so be careful with what you are eating. We usually go to Gyu-Kaku in downtown Nola. Not exactly Korean but the tastes are very similar. You can get kimchi and spicy cucumbers there which are staple banchans in KBBQ.
We are headed to NY in a couple of weeks and we are going to Cote where they do dry aged beef KBBQ. Excited is an understatement

We do Gyu pretty often its a Japanese centric with Korean influenced BBQ high quality chain
As far as NYC goes, I would love a status report when you go of the zeitgeist. I can only say I have done Korean 5 times up there. 3 in Manhattan (including two Michelin singles stars) and our two favorites were in the Flushing area. I can find the names if you want...just text me.
I am excluding Momofuku Ko from those 5 since its it own entity and clearly exceeds the food at the other 5 places. Its Korean in influence and ingredients.

I post the same thing occasionally, the Genghis Khan on Tulane Ave in NOLA was one of my favorite places ever. Great kimchi, bulgoki, the whole fish with black beans, we need one here badly.

Not a restaurant, but there's a Korean owned grocery on Lee Drive called "Oriental Market". The women there are very helpful and will give you recipes too.
Pre-Covid, Family Donuts in Denham Springs was starting to serve BBQ at lunch time.
Also, you can find some Korean dishes at The Cove Hawaiian Grill on Jefferson near Bluebonnet. The owner is second generation Korean.
