That was one bad experience in July. I have eaten there at least half a dozen.times and always walked away impressed.

It would be more helpful and serve more of a purpose if his head wasn't so far up his own arse.

I would move La Crepe Nanou into the top three. Depending on where you're seated, I'd put Muriel's on there too, even though it has a more bustling vibe.

I'll also throw in Meauxbar on N. Rampart.

ETA: honorable mention- Feeling's Cafe in the Marigny. Service was a little iffy when I went, but the atmosphere and the courtyard were great.

Meauxbar is really solid, don't know if I'd consider it romantic. I suppose it's romantic enough though.

Did I say Galatoire's was romantic. Nice bait and switch. Stay on topic.

The small, intimate French places always give me that vibe. And great service plays a big part too in setting the mood IMO.

But it's every bit Endymion-Argus romantic.

What is this even supposed to mean?

Awesome place that doesn't get mentioned nearly as often as it should.

Love this place and I find the service to be extremely good.
Cafe Degas is a good place for that french food and vibe, but I find that they servers there take the "french attitude" thing a little too far.

I guess it might be, but I've only been for lunch, and there were screaming children and such. So I dunno if I could ever get that out of my brain.

Wait, has nobody mentioned Commander's?? I know it's not small, but...
