Got a bottle of this as a gift. Haven't tried it yet. Tito's is also made in Austin.

Stoli and Tito's sit on my shelf for normal usage.

Chopin or Boyd & Blair Potato Vodkas are my "try this" vodka.

Grey Goose is the gold standard for what marketing and branding can do for a mediocre product.

Honestly as long as it's triple distilled it should be pretty good. A lot of the time you are paying for a fancy bottle, like in the case of Grey Goose.

Absolutely correct. Grey Goose was a marketing coup by Sidney Frank.

Costco's Kirkland Vodka is $20 and the same thing as Grey Goose.

Read an article about blind taste testing of these two and while they were very similar, they aren't the same. The Kirkland won the taste test across the board.

Sobieski is hard to beat for the price.

Yep, Deep Eddy is great stuff. Distillery is just down the road from my house. I like it much better than Tito's

Ciroq seems really douchey because of the whole puff daddy thing, but it is actually a tremendous vodka. It is distilled from grapes and has the slightest hint of floral/fruit aromas.

Other than that, Tito's is a very good vodka.

The only vodka I have ever enjoyed drinking straight is Breckenridge Vodka. It is made with corn and snowmelt water. It has a smooth almost sweet taste whereas most vodkas to me personally taste like rubbing alcohol.

Monopolowa Polish potato vodka now made in Austria. I know Trader Joes has it for about $10/750ml. I usually buy it a Specks by the handle when in Houston.

Chopin is good. I'll have to try Boyd & Blair.

I like this stuff. It's made in Nola. I think it's only sold at Dorignac's, Breaux Mart, Martin's and Elio's.

What's the point of a liquor if all you crave is it to be smooth/taste like water (which is often the compliments of crap like grey goose. If that the case you don't really enjoy liquor/vidka.

This may shock you, but some do not drink for the taste...

For Cost/Benefit I go with Tito's.
