The menu has a dish called free range chicken with potato purée. Ok so baked chicken and mashed potatoes? And I bet it’s 86 bucks. But I get to listen to Lizzo and a girl play a violin when I drink my drink that’s from an IV bag.

Food looks promising. Wine not so much.

Guys wear a fricking suit to dinner it won't kill you.

Lol. You don’t like people who have rich parents? Why? Ever get to know them as a person or are you too envious to see past their situation?
I don’t judge my friends or “likes” as you proclaim based on how much money they have. I like individuals based on the person. I’d be willing to wager I have friends whose family have more money than you can count but again, that’s not what makes me a friend of them.
Keep trying…what time is your reservation this week? Make sure your phone (that’s still on the family plan) is charged so you can send some pics.

Lauberge used to have alcohol pairing dinners that were fun. You also left with a bottle of alcohol per person so I forgave a few courses I did not like

They sure were plugging it on the radio the other day.

The people I talked too, raved about the atmosphere and not the food. They didn't say the food was bad, but they talked more about the vibe of the place.
Excellent review for a restaurant lol

This guy here.
No thanks. I'd rather wear shorts and a polo to Doe's.

That's what I'm saying
. They seem to have decorated the place well and want to do something impressive, but they're not offering anything interesting.
Creme brûlée is one of easiest desserts you can make, and bringing the torch to the table doesn't change anything about it or elevate it in any way. I mean, I guess if the patron has never seen a torch before it might impress them. But.. it isn't really groundbreaking stuff.
The way this place has been hyped for weeks, I thought it was going to be like a similar place they have in Houston that has the trendy, unique decor, has a DJ, etc.. but has really unusual science-y level food to back it up.
EDIT - The chef who created the menu @ new Beausoleil was supposed to be involved in this Supper Club place after he was made to leave Beausoleil. This is all just rumor mill, but while he is seemingly incredibly talented food wise, he seems to not play well with others at work. Last I had heard, he was no longer a part of Supper Club's startup team as well.
That might explain the menu not being very creative and the dishes looking underwhelming.

The type of people this place caters to are people with money to burn who don't really know much about food and declare everything they try to be "to die for" -- types that just want to show off and be seen and post pics to their social media. Raving about a table side torched creme brûlée tells me all I need to know.

I really don't think this place will last. Their website comes off as stuffy and douchey. Their is "corporate" money around BR and Louisiana, but a lot of money people here aren't the usual stuck up nose in the air types. They may be arrogant and rude, but they are still Louisiana and free living. This will be prom date central and douches trying to impress.
Not so sure the people with means to spend that much on food regularly will choose that kind of atmosphere.
On the other hand, If Ruth's, Sullivan's, or Doe's started offering them expensive fatty Japanese steaks, they'd sell a lot of em.

Very interesting. I was wondering what the story was there when he was no longer at Beausoleil.
They haven’t skipped a beat though. Still great food.
