Catman, we will be listing all places (or most popular places initially) Consider it a service to the great users of td.com. Of course, restaurants can advertise on the guide (ie, be featured at the top of their neighborhood/cuisines).

Thanks, Tree. Circus Child is doing a great job developing it. We have the whole family pitching it on its design.

We hope to be able to show a prototype of it to everyone soon. It will have reviews and star ratings for each place (provided by the users).

I know we need to add some more for the outlying cities of Metro BR (eg, Prairieville).

Give me a head's up and I'll give you a tour of downtown Prairieville.

For NO the Marigny and Bywater could be condensed into one area.
I disagree if the guide is going to be used for tourist purposes. You can't walk from the FQ to Bywater.

Ditto. Live .5 mile down the road and have for 5 or 6 years. Never heard that before.

Chicken, personally I would divide NOLA metro up like this:

Upper French Quarter
Lower French Quarter (there are just too many places to keep these two together)
Warehouse District
CBD
Gareden District/Lower Garden District
Uptown
Riverbend/Carrolton
Mid City/Bayou St. John
Lakeview/West End/Gentilly
Marigny/Bywater

Metro:
Metairie/Bucktown
Old Metairie/Old Jefferson
Kenner
Westbank
Northshore (or you could divide them up to Madisonville/Mandeville/Covington/Slidell)
Outlying areas (Middendorf's, Mosca's, Spahr's, etc)

You also have the plantation restaurants up and down River Road that could be tied to BR or NO; i.e. Latil's, Bernadettes, The Mansion, Oak Alley, etc.

Also, on doing this. Will help alleviate the every two day "going to N.O. where to eat thread(which I still flip through every time)".
