What are the can't miss places? We aren't so much looking for white table cloth steak houses but restaurants, food trucks, markets, etc.

Going to the pizza place Sammataro from the one bite app because the review looked really good.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Ciscos, get Migas for breakfast and a Bloody Mary. LBJ used to hang out there and it hasn’t changed since I was there 30 years ago.

I will add Brewtorium. Really good beers and great food. The pork belly pizza is remarkable.

So many options for great food in Austin. What part of town are you staying in? You can get great tex mex, tacos, etc just about anywhere. BBQ is easy to find but the areas of town are a little more limited. Some guidance would help.

A few notes from comments already made...

- Maria's Taco Express, closed, is now Hattie B's
- Jeffrey's, super white cloth dining $$$$
- Red Ash, awesome place but you'll need about 3 months notice for reservations

Really, location is everything. Austin isn't the small city it once was. If you're staying up north then a bunch of East side recommendations aren't gonna do you much.

We’re a Tex Mex loving family. We’ll risk getting stabbed for good enchiladas, hot sauce, and margaritas.

Maybe somebody good is playing at Stubbs BBQ.
Franklins BBQ or Terry Blacks.
Franklins might be a chore to wait. Not sure how the lines are these days.
