Some of the Jazz/Funk/Soul bands would really be fun to see. But R&B and Rap/DJ's in 95 degree heat sounds miserable.

The only thing I’m apprehensive about is that .. most of the soul food places in town aren’t all that good. The greens are just dumped out of a can and unseasoned at the majority of them, for example.

Now if they have the curried goat lady from In And Out Soul Food, I’m there. They haven’t had it on the menu in months.

My understanding is that they are having vendors and cooks from all over the south.

I have mixed feelings. One one hand, the food should be amazing.

The food doesnt mix well with 90+ degree heat

On the other hand, I have a feeling the crowd will be “interesting”

Yes it will be a bunch of black people

Any festival that is free in BR will have a bunch of trash at it, whether it be black or white people. This will be no different

What is the over/under on gunshots? I'm guessing 5 and I'm taking the over all day long.

Sadly, lots of places I find only have brown gravy. It sucks, but I found a place a few months ago worse.

We were eating at some dump in Donnoldsinville and one of their specials on the very limited menu was chicken fried steak. Five of us order it and after looking at the menu a little closer we see that it mentions no gravy, but red beans and rice with it.

Sure enough, the damn place doesn't serve gravy of any kind and they said the owners claims people love it just fine with the red beans.

A bunch of naked kids playing in the fountains, some good food, lots of trash being left on the ground and levee, parking was a mess

Could have turned the phrase, "Lord, it's so hot." Into a drinking game, would have been over in 20 minutes
