At The Whiskey in Orlando and I landed on The BLD, rare.

quote:

The BLD $15.50
House Patty, Arugula, Tomato, Whiskey Onions, Provolone Cheese, Smoked Applewood Bacon, Sunny Side Egg, Sriracha Aioli.

Second it comes out it is obvious there’s no picking this glorious thing up…so I cut it in half.

Don’t worry, Woodford on the rocks has been proven to kill all food born bacterias. Halftime:

Game over…and another Woodford on the rocks just to make sure…

Damn fine burger. Place is awesome…if you ever get a chance.

I’ll skip making fun of you for using utensils

The burger looks great! It’s hard to find a place that’ll cook a burger less than well done.

I’ve been craving a tartare for a while. I saw the sunny side up egg on this one and knew it had to be.

What city do you live in? I can think of a half dozen places in Baton Rouge I've had a mid-rare burger

I honestly can’t remember the last restaurant that said they wouldn’t cook medium rare.

It's not like I go out of my way to try to do so at low-brow, shitty restaurants, but it's been a while for me as well. Last time it happened was at Eliza, and that was only because they do a ground chuck and pork blend.

Beef carpaccio and tartare are delicious. And a rare burger is basically just slightly warmed, seared beef tartare

A bit too rare for me, but still

I don’t think it was cooked long enough to be rare. I understand, but I think there should be sliver of uncooked beef in the middle…not the whole patty. I tried to pick it up and there was literally no way. I would have ordered tartare if they had it, so no complaints, but to the touch that’s not rare to me.

I'd eat it just slightly more done.

Yeah, I just don't think they pay much attention to it if you order medium or better. Order less than medium, and they assume you're likely going to care what your doneness turns out to be.

Yea, they only served battered fries…and the corn starch type kind of bothers me. Definitely liked the onion ring upgrade.
