Used to be a diet/ weight loss sticky on here. I post a lot of boring “What’s for dinner” photos on here because of trying to lose a pound or two. Some have asked how’s it going. Started in March of ‘19 and have taken my time. Been hanging out at my current weight for the last three or four months. Ran across the first photo from about three year ago and it’s pretty embarrassing. A result of taking me out of the field and sticking me behind a desk. Took the second one yesterday morning. Mainly sharing to say that I’m 63 years old and that it’s never to late for a lifestyle change. :)

Damn bad arse man!

Also it seems like you did it right with taking your time. Share this on the health and fitness board.

Sensible eating and exercise. Never really gave up anything but seriously limited the bad stuff, fried foods, pizza, burgers, poboys, sweets, etc. Almost everything broiled, grilled or baked. A lot of boiled seafood. A lot of vegetables and fruits. Didn’t so much count calories but meal planned instead and I don’t snack. I honestly ate good, just different. Started hitting the treadmill. Started off walking what I could. Now I walk a minimum of one hour and four miles everyday. Sometimes more, walked six miles on the chili dogs and fried seafood days. :)

I do. I have a lot more energy and tend to be doing something all of the time. Told my wife, the other day, that all of this moving around is wearing me out. Told her that being fat and lazy has it’s advantages. :)

Not really sure what I weighed when I first started changing my eating habits. I didn’t get on a scale for the first three weeks or so and I know that I had lost a bit by the time I did weigh. When I did decide to get on a scale, I weighed 308. I’ve been hanging out at around 185 for the last three or four months. Also, I didn’t start hitting the treadmill until about two or three months after first changing my eating habits. Since starting, I’ve not missed a day on the treadmill, including holidays, weekends, etc. I figure they’ll be days when I can’t so I might as well do it everyday that I can.

Great job!

After getting my DD214, I jumped from 155 to 200lbs. Keto diet for 6 months and was back to 155

Good job and you do eat well, seems like you have perfect grill marks every night with what I now assume is skim milk
