I'm perfectly content removing the shells and cooking them. My wife, on the other hand, insists on deveining every damn shrimp
Same here. When I go catch my 25#, the last thing I want to do is sit there and devein every single one.

Do you guys devein?
Peel and devein in one step with a fork.

No.
But I just watched a video showing how to peel and devein at the same time so I'll try it next time. Still looks like a pain in the arse, but I'll give it a try anyway.

16/20 size or larger I do and my wife absolutely will insist I do. Anything smaller i almost never do.

I use a fork to peel and devein in one motion so no extra time involved.

Gotta devein for shrimp dishes. Boils, fryin’? Vein.
Plus the niceness of the butterfly action you get from deviening is pretty rockin.
Ive bought them pealed and deveined a few times. Thats worth the extra money if theyre good and fresh.

Otherwise she'll accuse of you of trying to make her eat poop

Paul Prudhomme once said that he had never deveined a shrimp in his life.

Absolutely devein for every dish, don't like eating grit!

I devein not due to taste (I can tell a difference, but not much), but due to the fact every once in a while the vein can be horribly gritty.
