Scott Boudin Trail - family results

Bought 2 pounds from each, regular boudin, for the family to sample. All are from the area and have eaten boudin for most of their lives, TIFWIW.
NuNus, Billy's, Don's, Kartchner's, and The Best Stop.
18 out of 20 picked The Best Stop, and the 2 that didn't said if if wasn't as hot it would have been the best (see Mouton's topic earlier today).
NuNu's cane in second by a large margin.
Don's and Billy's were close for 3rd.
Kartchner's was last by everyone (I know I've posted the same thing before but it was unanimous, lack of flavor and taste).
Now I did buy boudin balls from each and Kartchner's Jalapeno Cream Cheese was the second favorite to Billy's regular.
We did have many other meat pies, wraps, etc, but I wanted to make it about boudin.
To the all of the Best Stop fans, I never downvoted you, I just had given up on them for a long time, you were correct.
The Best Stop wins with our family

Problem with best stop is that they are just too inconsistent.

I've found Best Stop has gotten better over the last few years with their consistency.
Unrelated: My biggest issue with Best Stop is that since they've started mass producing and distribution I found their smoked sausage and andouille is no where near as good, like it's not smoked near as much as they used to.

I see some fans of Kartchner's in here. Hey if you like it go for it. But every single person said it had zero taste and they would never eat it again. This is the 3rd time I've had it from the Scott location, and its been the same every time. I only had it once from Krotz Springs and don't remember it being like this at all ?

I’ve only been to the Krotz Springs location and it’s always money. Wouldn’t hurt to give them another shot if you pass by the other location.

I've had Kartchners twice in crotch springs and both times were underwhelming.

I agree with best stop inconsistency, last time I ate it, it was pure mush. Billys seems the most consistant. I will say, Kartchners cheese and Jalep stuffed boudin is

i keep getting best stop from the grocery and am always disappointed. i keep wanting to like it because everyone says how good it is, but , big meh from me.
