Will be staying at San Destin/Baytown Resort with teenage kids in coming weeks. I’m familiar with restaurants in Destin area, but would like to avoid heading that way if possible. Any recommendations for any restaurants on the Baytown property or surrounding San Destin area?

Ocean Club has always been a fun dinner spot ,often with live music.

Check out some of the places in grand Blvd:

Craft bar, cantina Laredo, Vintij, Emerils, Tommy Bahamas, Grimaldis.

Marlin grill is great but I find most of the places in Baytown to be over priced nonsense.

Not sure if lost pizza company is still open but it’s pretty good as is fat boys.

98 bbq probably the best bbq in the area and better than average compared to other cities.

This. Most (all?) placed in Baytown are touristy trash. Slick Lips and Marina Bar are probably your best bets in Baytown.

I’ll add that Ovide, the newish upscale restaurant at Hotel Effie in Baytown, is pretty solid.

Marlin Grill has closed. Will be replaced by some Jimmy Buffett concept. We were just there- the food options on the bayside are terrible and overpriced. The Blvd has typical chain stuff like Changs, Tommy Bahama, Cantina Laredo- all pretty meh but you know what you’re getting.

Drive east onto 30a. Shunk's Gulley, Red Bar, Goatfeathers, Cafe Tango, Blue Mabel.

The food toward the west into Destin is not great.

I like Tommy Bahama for lunch, good bar, friendly staff. Head to 30A for dinner, close by is Elmo’s(looks like a dive, but really good seafood) & Stinky’s

I was there last week. My two favorites from the Baytown Wharf are no longer there. Marlin Grill has closed and Bistro Bijoux has moved to another location. It seems like the wharf is catering to the more casual crowd.

If you want to go west of Destin I have a few suggestions. I like Emeril's but I don't think they are as good as they were a few years ago.

Cafe Thirty-A is my favorite restaurant around there.

We had a good dinner and a fun time last Saturday night at Louis Louis on Hwy 98 just on the other side of Hwy 30-A.

Since you don't want to go the other way, I should refrain from mentioning one of my other favorites which is Mimmo's Italian Restaurant.
