I understand what the dudes getting at- professional yelpers are terrible in trying to nitpick things instead of just getting honest hiccups fixed immediately, and yelp is a scam big time..... Problem is his trolling back at the system isn't coming off funny like we often see. It just reads like bickering; which we all hear too much of already.
If he came up with a pithy reply about not grinding your body against his tables- It would probably accomplish what he's going for much better

Well, that's fine if people want to state the owner made a poor decision to overreact to Yelp reviews. It's another thing for this topic to receive 11 pages discussing how terrible the owner is acting.
This has been completely overblown on this board. I think we need a FDB poll on who on this board is offended by the owners comments.

I may be wrong, but from what I've seen you don't seem to be overly successful at enjoying your meals Niknik. If I had so many poor experiences I may look it to receiving my nourishment via osmosis. The got damn place is called the Sammich, what were you expecting?

If I lived around there, I would go there just to see for myself out of curiosity.
He was definitely an arse but I appreciate the fact that he's not an arse kisser and does whatever he wants.

exactly. It's like the OP goes into the restaurant with a checklist. Id hate to eat like that

After reading your reviews, the only thing shocking about this is that it hasn't happened to you before.

Thanks for the support and YES!!! Chicken Livers will return after Easter!

Growing up I always asked my mom for a sammich. Had the idea for a restaurant and googled the word. Urban dictionary popped up and when I read the definition...

You know what? I'll bite....
You've made clear your distaste for Yelp and I can understand some of the fundamental complaints from business owners regarding good/bad reviews. I have wanted to go to Sammich. But, not anymore. Too many other good places in town to give my money.
If your issue is with Yelp, you should take it up with Yelp. Instead, you are literally going down the list, review by review, and trying to "fix" Yelp by demeaning and insulting the people who give you bad reviews. Do you really think you are going to change the game by shaming its players? How many users are on yelp? Good luck with that. You don't seem to have a problem with the users who give you good reviews, though they're just as "faceless" and "lack the stones" to tell you personally.
As a poster said earlier, your attitude on Yelp and your continued persistence to insult customers on here and social media in general screams insecurity. The food industry in this city is way too competitive and run too much by word of mouth to treat paying customers like functioning retards.
Steins?
You're not an out of town authentic Jewish deli from NYC that can act like dickheads as a marketing scheme to play off of geographic stereotypes and to contradict the local tendency to be overly kind and courteous.
Your business needs you to stay the hell away from a computer.
Your lost customer (though the lobster honey deal sounded delicious),

What would a poll prove? I'm not offended never was. But I would be if I wrote a review and the owner told me to basically frick off.
Go read how John Besh responds to negative reviews and take a few tips from one of the best.

Yeah, I hardly think I would call my feelings about his responses "offended". I just think it's hilarious that someone would let their temper/emotions get the best of them and tarnish the image of their business.
Sammich has never been on my radar, so nothing has changed on that front.

Anyone wearing pantyhose has no business being in the dining room. That women should have been in the kitchen making a sammich.
I'm not offended

The poll proves this is much ado about nothing.
The only important thing we've learned is the chicken livers will be back!!
Maybe the owner will heed this boards advice and avoid Yelp.

This. How is TD any different than Yelp? Just as faceless and lacking of stones as Yelp. Yet, owner says he's fixing issues brought up in this thread. Hypocrite.
