So does Ronnie's "Hot" Donuts. Those things are like bricks

Do you like anything? You've listed nothing short of 20 places and most of them are usually properly rated. Nobody is going to Walk-Ons or Pastime for gourmet cuisine, but the food is decent and thats about exactly what you expect.

ETA: and to answer the original question, the only place I've ever gotten food that was actually gross is Pei Wei. I got some spicy korean chicken deal that tasted like the hottest buffalo sauce they could make that had no flavor at all. I've had plenty of times were I thought the food was just ok, but I dont go pay $15 for a meal and expect to be wowed.

We walked by Port of Call a couple of months ago and there were baking sheets stacked with buns, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion. Literally around 100 pre-made set ups. I will never eat there again. The Monsoon is good though.

Zeeland Street

Zeeland is like Bistro Byronz in the sense that I think a few of their sides are solid and I'll get them as a meal, but their entrees are overpriced and not filling.

Damn, was this something I did/said? My memory is horrible.

Pretty sure it was you. Went to get a roast beef poboy, I think, and wanted extra gravy. They denied it. Something along the lines of they only make so much gravy each day.

Also there may have been a financial snafu with the transaction.

Been a while.

Of course they have fallen way off from what they were pre Great Recession. I suppose you don’t think so, tell us why.

I’m not refuting your assertion, just wondering why you feel that way. To me, it’s the same Fleming’s it was in 2005.

Agree on Five Guys. I don’t see why people love it. It’s fine, I wouldn’t turn it down if someone offered it to me, but I would never go out of my way for it.

Which reminds me, In-n-Out. I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but I’d add it to my list. It’s so unbelievably overrated I’m impressed they’ve maintained their level of hype.

I agree that it’s overrated, but I think it’s a great burger. Very good simple, classic burger.
