Adding Bistro Byronz. There's a couple items I like there still, but most of the food has gotten terrible.

Fat Cow changed up their patty like a year ago, and it has made a world of difference. Still not my go-to burger place, but sometimes I just can't help myself about wanting those duck fat fries.
I havent been to Fat Cow in several years since I dont live by LSU anymore, but what did they do?

I remember their burgers having egg in them due to their meatloaf-esque appearance. I still loved it nonetheless.

Isn’t that kinda the point? To actually LIKE the food you’re trying?

yo cant expect to like everything at a place like that. they probably have 70+ menu items.

Omi is very good but yea Im positive they will have plenty of dishes that I wouldnt like

Also, I’m not just talking this board; I’m talking in general. Sammy’s, Dempsey’s, and George’s stay busy. They’re plenty popular.

lets include all the garbage chains while we are at it. when i say get shite on, i mean by the people on this site

Flemings
Merchant
Curbside
Your Mom's
Mason's
The Chimes
Bin 77
Olive or Twist

The places I listed that I dislike tend to overwork, overcook, and overseason their burgers. For my personal taste, at least.

I couldn't stand the consistency. Someone who worked there told me they grinded entire sticks of butter with the meat, which is what made it sausage-texture.

Only thing I REALLY like at the Chimes is the gumbo. I used to like their loaded fries, but they went and fricked them all up. The etouffee is pretty good, but nothing else really impressed me all that much.

I don’t expect that at all. Problem is, they only have about 2-3 things that I like enough to warrant a return visit. Nine Dragon Noodle House has at least a dozen.

I’ve only had a few of these - will definitely try the others. I also like the one I had at Elsie’s.

I haven't yet had theirs, nor have I had City Pork's burger, but I like both restaurants so much that I'd bet they have a good one.

For the NO posters I just want to clarify Dempsey's is some dump in BR and not affiliated with the world class restaurant Jack Dempsey's on Poland Ave.

I've never been a huge fan of this place either. Was very unimpressed the last few times I went.

At one time, prior to the Great Recession of 2007-2008, Byrons was a nice spot to grab dinner. Their steaks were good for the price and salad and side were also good.

Somewhere along the way, the quality of their food rapidly declined and their once decent steak became worse than what you would expect out of an Outback or Texas Roadhouse.

You would think that like everyone else, after they weathered the storm, and the economy picked up, they would return to their former glory. Not hardly.

I noticed the same thing with Fleming’s.

I don’t frequent these two places much anymore.
