re: Restaurants on your personal 'blacklist'.

I have a couple of not food service related blacklisted restaurants.
1) J. Alexanders on Bluebonnet - for the plethora of "J. Alexander's Parking Only" signs due to people parking there and going to Pluckers. Inconveniencing me when I try to visit one establishment is only going to make me never want to visit yours.
As a matter of principal I'd much rather see a business try to win. Take all those cars in your parking lot for Monday night football (slow night at a traditional restaurant, good night at a more bar-themed restaurant) and slide $2 off any appetizer coupons under their windshield wiper. Do something to try to make money instead of whining and calling tow trucks on people who have disposable income and live in your community.
Going one layer deeper, Pluckers has NFL Sunday Ticket and is one of the few places that do in town. Many people with disposable income who move here from other states (Who did not grow up near a J. Alexanders) will find their way to Pluckers after they grow tired of BWW down the road (that's how I found it). Instead of trying to get these people in your door, the first thing you do is try to inconvenience them?
2) Any Quiznos - those commercials from the mid-2000's that starred what looked like rats with gingivitis were just not appealing. Whoever green-lit that doesn't need my money.

Prejeans, and I'm not happy about it.
The last two times I've gone back to LA I stopped there with the family in hopes of getting some genuine back-home food.
The food is a caricature of LA food. Overspiced like you'd find in Cleveland or something.

Not to mention several other visits where soup was salty service was slow and they didn't bring food out in order

I guess I would say Mosca's due to their cash only policy. I have no patience for stuff like that.
There was good reason for that back in the day

Pelican House - refuse to ever set foot in there again.

Stadium at Lauberge after what was the worst meal I have ever had anywhere. You literally could not pay me to eat there. Well, maybe you could but it would really cost you.
Melting Pot - we went for Restaurant Week and never need to go back. Insanely expensive for what you get and you have to cook your own food? No thanks.

Velvet cactus. Been there at least a handful of times bc friends insist on going there. Food is awful, service is awful, and I've gotten sick at least a couple of times after leaving.

I won't go to the Pelican House, but mainly because the Cove and Corporate Brew and Draft are next door.

Looks like most anybody can have a bad experience at any restaurant on any day. Folks next to them are having the time of their lives.
