Got the fever. Is it Don's in Lafayette?

What you got?

Used to have a legit one at Ralph and Kacoo's when I worked there

But that was many moons ago and I don't know if the recipe changed

I'd be shocked as shite if they're still doing a legit version with stuffed heads and all.

Landry's in Henderson and lake charles has a great one. They stopped stuffing the heads but it's still my personal favorite.

But the stuffed heads are why you eat bisque in my opinion

If you are in Lafayette it is still served at Don’s and they stuff their own heads. I used to buy a few gallons at Christmas family gifts before the flood closed the BR one. I need to see if the others have it.

I don't know anyone in NOLA that always has it on the menu but off the top of my head I'd say Cochon and Brightsen's were two that enjoyed the most.

Oh, and of course Emeril's.

not many places serve it anymore. Last places I had legit bisque were Kevins on the diversion and Cypress Seafood house in Plaquemine. Last year at a church fair a guy made a big black iron pot of bisque and that was the closest thing to my great grandmothers that I can recall. Was lucky enough to buy a few quarts from him.
