Searched and didn’t see a thread on it. I believe it opened August 2018. Is this the same as the one in Nola that some of you get your crawfish from? Anyone have any dealings with the new Baton Rouge location?

Yes same place. It’s pretty awesome to be honest. Lots of fresh options including crawfish and good prices.

Hope that the BR one has better management than the NOLA one. I used to buy on the regular from RD for certain consumables....now I order online, as the damn store can't seem to keep key items in stock (matching cups and lids, for example). It is perpetually disorganized these days, and checkout lines are ridiculous. Help can be quality, or terrible, depending on the individual.

It's pretty legit.
Good meat choices. Some off the wall frozen convenience items.

They are a franchise of the one in New Orleans. Get all their training from them so good luck!

Off of I-12 and Oneil. Been to this location 3 times in the past 2 months and has been good to me so far, but I also don’t buy a crap ton when I go there. Just lucky to have a membership through my brother.

so this is a membership kind of deal? oh well. I was thinking it may be like Ducote's restaurant supply but with actual groceries too. Which I guess that's what it sounds like but the difference is Ducote's doesn't require a membership.

Yes. You need to own a business in order to be a member. It’s free to be a member but have to have an LLC.

You can also be a member if you’re a licensed non-profit, such as a church or a charity. I’m a board member of a non-profit and I’ve thought about getting a membership for our organization. I just need to come up with a good reason to do so besides “I want to check the place out and see how good the prices are”

Pro tip: they will let you be a member even if you don't own a business. I merely gave name of the place I work at. All depends on what kind of day person at front desk is having.

And as far as BTR location, long checkout lines are not typically an issue.

They don’t make you scan a card when you walk in? Or when you check out? They are supposed to put every order on your account.

If I remember correctly, there is some random club you can join that allows you to obtain RD membership

Eta: apparently if you join the Kansas city BBQ society (it's like $40) you can get access to RD

Pretty sure you have to be a member and own a business. I go twice a week and have to scan in each time I walk through the door and they scan my card before check out.
