Depends on what you want?

There’s Eliza on Jefferson behind the CC’s Coffee - they are pretty consistent and reasonably priced

Then there’s Elsie’s, Beausoleil, and Rouj.

Louisiana Lagniappe.

If you want poboys - there’s JEDs, pizza there’s Rocca, burgers - Curbside

Depends on what you are looking for. BR has plenty of good restaurants despite what some might say. The chain reputation hasn't been true for 20 years.

Mansurs
Rouj
Maison Lacour
French Market Bistro
Diguilio Bros
Bldg 5
Robertos

Folks that live in BR:
Spend four days in another mid size city and realize how great a thing it is to be able to eat food in BR any time you wish.

Also, I’m starting to appreciate how friendly the service is here. Both Seattle and Charleston felt standoffish to rude comparatively.

Baton Rouge has good options and has for quite awhile but we all know it’s overshadowed by New Orleans and rightly so. However one thing it’s never tried to be New Orleans or even compete. It’s always done it’s own thing.

I grew up eating The Village, Jack Sabin’s, Giamanco’s, The Chinese Inn, Little Italy, The Place, Chalet Brandt and a few more.

Today my route is French Market, La Lagniappe, Zorbas, Nino’s, Diquilios, Gino’s for my wife, Ichibon, Rocca, Elsie’s and occasionally Maison Lacour although it’s been a year or so.

Throw in Red Zeppelin, The Chimes, Superior, even Walk Ons for a sandwich and a ballgame a few others and I’m happy.

I’d add Overpass to that rotation. Best “everyday” restaurant in town.

Hands down one of the best spots in town. I go every Wednesday.

Every place you an Martini just named are in my very regular rotation.

Not for a city of its size. Greenville, SC is way smaller than BR with many more quality dining options.
