Hold the Mayo star Devin Snow takes a trip down Plank Road to visit the iconic Tony's Seafood. Let's say he was less than impressed. But, honestly, he did not make the best choices for his meal. It's called Tony's Seafood. He ordered the ribs.
"I had to wrestle the ribs like Steve Irwin wrestled an alligator."
"Tony's Seafood was established in 1959. That corn muffin must have been here since 1959."

I discovered him on social media. He’s amusing. Reminds me of every guy I’ve known that hangs out in random Metry or Kenna bars on Vets.

His fascination with Plank Road's economy is hilarious. I've been in Tony's hundreds of times. Admittedly I do not eat hot plates from there often. It's usually to pick up live or boiled crawfish or seafood boudin balls. Ribs would be the last thing I would think to buy there.

Mayo getting attacked for this video on Twitter/X right now by a certain demographic.

One of them said they didn’t like a “white man talking bad about Plank Road” and that he should go to the other side of town.

I’ve had ribs from Tony’s before and found them to be delicious. Ribs were tougher than the usual chain restaurant ribs and not fall-off-the-bone, and they’re not supposed to be. Tony’s also uses crab boil in the rib rub, which was unusual but pretty damn tasty.

Correct. That means ribs are cooked well done. To each their own, I just find that "fall off the bone" ribs are not as good as ones that take a little pull to get off the bone.

If he hasn't already, he needs to go to Blue Store.

The red beans at the Blue Store on North Boulevard are real good too.
The red beans at Chicken Shack are surprisingly NOT good. I dunno how a place like that messes up red beans. You're great at frying chicken, which is a hell of a lot more difficult.

I make the road trip to get the plate lunch every couple months. Best deal in town and always fresh. I’ve never had their bbq, but looks pretty good. Last I checked it’s not called Tony’s BBQ. The chopped beef is twice the size of Piccadilly and $4-5 cheaper.

100% true.

I believe Mayo guy did do a RB&R Day at Elsie's and was quite pleased with it. As he should, it's a great dish over there.
