Picked these up a few days ago

On a side note, Albertsons (not where I purchased these) had ribeyes on sale last week. I went to pick some up...the package was all Strips (and really non-marbled strips at that). Times are tough.

Set the microwave on defrost, hit ’em for 15 minutes…don’t flip, lightly dust with Tony’s and eat ‘em up.

Every now and then I'll get lucky like that. Something either mislabeled or misgraded. Those are definitely prime quality.

Look like choice to me. Marbling is a little thick to be graded prime.

I got 4 amazing steaks in a value pack. Usually they hide a couple at the bottom that aren't as good, but all 4 were great this time.

I agree with this, but they are still nice looking for choice.

For sure. Prime hasn't been on my menu since they started charging your first born son for it.

Those look better than any “wagyu” from Rouses and I bet it wasn’t $40/lb.

I'm not a butcher, but I have also bought a lot of beef. I would have never considered that a Choice cut based off the pic the OP posted. Much closer to Prime than Choice. Then again, I would have never bought beef from a WalMart so there's that.

Probably injected the rib rack with pig fat if it’s Wal mart.

I’d buy those steaks from B Qwik for 12 bucks a pound

Agree. That doesn't look like any choice ribeye I ever saw, much less from Wal-Mart.
