Kartchner's in Krotz Springs has it. Worth the drive for the hog head cheese and cream cheese boudin balls. Bring an ice chest and your credit card. Lol

Don't eat bunnies. They don't try to eat you so don't eat them back.

Good friend of mine always cooks rabbits for New Years, her husband always got them hunting, anyway last year he was sick and did not go hunting so she saw them at rouses , picked up 3 and was really sick about it when she saw they were $9.99, but when she got to the checkout and realized they were $9.99/ pound she really lost her shite....no rabbits for New Years that year

I've seen it frozen at Calvin's. Look at the bottom of the first freezer case right next to the deli counter. They always have some kind of different stuff there. Last time I looked in there, they had a goose, two ducks, a turkey that had to be 20-25 pounds and one lonely Cornish game hen.

I suspect that's where they put the meat that people order but never pick up. I've had several interesting meals out of what I grabbed out of that freezer.

Calandro’s has it. It’s farm rabbit so it’s pretty bland.

Any rabbit out the store is farm-raised, that's just like pet rabbits too me. they are bland and have a sweet taste. Pouche's in Breaux Bridge has some. I normally pick them up in Opelousas $7 a rabbit from some old buddies that rabbit hunt.

Yep, meat rabbits at Rouses are not cheap. I was set back on my heels the first time I looked for them and saw the price per pound. Needless to say, just like your lady friend, they stayed in the store.
