If you are in the Time Square area, John's Pizza is always good. I believe they do a gluten free option as well.

1. Katz deli
2. Any Chinese food in Chinatown that looks small and “mom and pop”
3. Look for the hot dog carts that have little open fire grills on them. Ask for the “beef on a bun” and get the sauce. (Insert all the dirty jokes here but that beef on a bun is worth it (that is what she said)).

Well fortunately there aren’t many restaurants in New York so we don’t need details like neighborhoods, price points, or types of food in order to help you out.

Le Bernardin is vegetarian so your daughter would be fine. Just go there.

The best food is at the bodegas/delis.

Get a chopped cheese.

Han Dynsaty is nice for chinese. They have a few locations.

Almost anywhere you eat in Manhattan will be delicious.

Didn’t want to start a separate topic about this but since it’s here I’ll piggyback.

Will be in Manhattan in early March for some meetings. Staying around Lexington and 50th. Would like recs for meals in that area as I’ll have some free time. Preferably a pizza place and maybe a nice dinner spot. Going to try for Le Bernadin one night and open to suggestion for the other night.

Hill Country is the best BBQ in town but the competition sucks.

3 cool pizza places-

John's near Times Square that is in an old church with the stained glass still there.

The original Grimaldi's that you can get to from Manhattan by walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lombardi's in Chinatown.

Following this thread. Going to NY in 2 weeks.
STK is a chain. Probably good but…

For pizza try John’s Bleeker St, Rubirosa or Luzzo’s. Grimaldi’s is now a chain, including the original location in DUMBO. Lombardi’s is also mediocre at best.

Will check it out

For the record, I don’t mind chains. But if I’m going to NY (or I guess anywhere) I don’t want to go somewhere I can go to at home.
