It's not courage, it's a total lack of caring of what other people think. It makes life easier.

3 more pounds! I want to only weigh once a week but when I see it dropping like it is, it's addictive and motivating!

Great news Hulk. Nice job.

I am of the weigh daily crowd. I think it is motivating on good days.

Yes, It can be frustrating at times but it also keeps me from thinking I can cheat tonight because I don't weigh-in for a week. And believe me, my brain would use that rationale if I only weighed-in once a week.

Keep up the great work!

It's a great feeling. And I have more of the energy that the book was talking about. Just not so tired.

first time you do atkins its like magic..especially when you can mow down some 1lb steaks and still see a 1-2lb drop the next day.

don't listen to people who call it a gimmick. if this 'gimmick' gets you drop a quick 100, then you can do anything at that point to maintain or go another direction.

point is..get the weight off..who the frick cares how..and then once your motivation is off-the-charts you will be able to gradually increase your exercise, paying more attentino to calories, etc etc.

hulk..we're proud of you buddy. :cheers;

dude...seriously? this is *NOT* a plateau. you've been steadily losing and you'll be under 199 before you know it (just not before me preferably)

i'd say keep doing what youv'e been doing..changing stuff up can be dangerous..myself i'm trying to hit 203 tomorrow..i might just have a protein shake tonight and nothing else..depending on my stress level with the kids..sometimes i break because i get so riled up trying to get them squared away i end up eating more.

Hulk - I weigh ever single day at the same time and I chart the numbers. If I don't see the small little losses, I review what I have done in the past couple of days and make a slight change in diet or exercise. The days when there is a big drop are worth it. You wil bounce around but the slight up days will start to make you mad and you will try harder if you want to shed the weight.

I also set little mini-goals. Today was my deadline to to get to 230lbs before going a short vacation with wife. I have other small goals set through out the year like, Xlbs by Easter, July 4, birthday, etc. It keeps me from being overwhelmed. Everytime I loose ten pounds, I get a massage!

That's what I'm talking about.

First time under 200 in over 20 years.
Had a closet cleaning out party last weekend and got rid of 2 large garbage bags of clothes. Started wearing 36 inch waist pants for the first time in just as long. I still can wear the 38's some but all the 40's had to go. I even bought a new belt because I had already punched two new holes in the old one. It feels great but I still have some work to do. Never going back to where I was because it took a lot of work to get where I'm going.

I wish I knew. I would be on a plane to the MGM Sportsbook by the end of the day.

Every year, my brothers and I bet $100 for LSU to win BSCCG when we are in Vegas for our annual golf-buddy trip. That has worked out OK. The bet on the Astros has sucked.

Weighed myself today and I've dropped 14 lbs in the last 6 weeks. My diet plan: open your own business and forget to eat.
