I've never bought them, but you can buy some keto sticks at the pharmacy that you can take a leak on to make sure you are in ketosis.

It can take a few days to actually get into it as your body burns the remaining carbs.

I think I am going to jump back on the Atkins plan starting tomorrow.

I've finished all the beans and grapefruit that I have in the house so starting tomorrow, I will be under the 20 grams of carbs to get back into induction.

Not sure about my menu yet. Probably bacon and eggs f0r breakfast, chicken thighs and salad for lunch and burger patty and salad for dinner. String cheese for snacks.

So starting tomorrow I will be all Atkinsed up along with ya Hulk.

I heard about them.. any idea on price? I'm strapped for cash after buying the scale, george foreman grill, a knife set, and a bunch of stuff for the kitchen that I didn't have. I know the book said the first 48 hours are the roughest because of the lack of energy. Last night was ROUGH. I felt physically exhausted like I worked out all day... I went to bed 2 hours early. I almost didn't cook myself anything for lunch but I knew I needed to because I wouldn't have time in the morning.

I've been eating cheesy egg omelets for breakfast, string cheese for snacks, typically a chicken breast for lunch with a salad and hard boiled egg, another string cheese for another snack, and a hamburger patty or small chuck steak w/salad for dinner. Yesterday I added up my water intake, roughly 80 oz of water. 10 glasses. I stayed with water in my hand

And welcome to the club again!

Lost 4 pounds since friday, but I definitely should have eaten more yesterday. Got pretty weak at work last night around 2:30. I ate a roast beef on wheat for breakfast and lunch with a greek yogurt tossed in. 263/259/180

I've been catching flak left and right ever since Saturday began for doing Atkins.

its been my experience that its almost better just to not say anything..just say you're getting more exercise and eating less.

of course if you're out somewhere eating and someone notices you avoiding bread..they'll probably hone right in on it.

thats where myth's advice comes into play..be a hermit until you're comfortable the weight is coming off and then you'll be able to shake off the haters easier if you know you're starting to drop weight like a boat anchor.

this is nice as a 'gut check' :rimshot: ..but don't get too focused on this.

remember, whether you're DARK PURPLE (0 carbs at all in a couple of days) or LIGHT purple..its the same. ketosis is ketosis. don't feel like you can't have any carbs at all. there's not really a difference and like myth says; don't get too caught up with trying to make the sticks change color.

you'll get to a point where you'll 'sense' your carb intake. trust me, the first time i was in ketosis and finally had something with sugar in it i almost gagged it was so sweet. makes you appreciate any hint of sweetness once you've cut sugar out for awhile. that shite is poisoning us.

Oh I know, my dad and I lost weight when I was younger and we cut out sweets.. the first time I had a regular coke after that it was too sweet.

So. This is a little embarassing to admit, but a chick friend came over and brought her wii and we played one of those dancing games. 45 minutes and I was drenched in sweat and exhausted.. but it was fun. May have to do that more often.

I'm actually amazed that this thread has only had a few leaks from the OT.

On day one I figured this thread wouldn't last out the day before being swamped by the jack wagons from the OT.

The Plateau simply will not die!

Drastic measures must be taken. Well, not too drastic as I was actually already planning to restart Atkin's.

Hopefully my damn bike will arrive this week and I will be able to start my riding program with Atkin's. That should get the damn scale moving in the right direction again.

I am contemplating before after photos on here but I am not sure I have the same courage shown by The Hulk.
