I lost 13 lbs each of the 1st 2 months, then it slowed down to 5-7 lbs, I'm good with that.

Did first routine of P90X last night. Was back and chest and jesus was it hard! I've lost so much upper body strength over the years I guess. Anyways, it's done and I felt both sore and great at the same time. I was very energized this morning and find myself anxious to work out again tonight.

The massive amounts of food is hard to adjust to though. It seems like I'm eating all day.

i was in shut-down mode yesterday. after the 91 miles of fairly hard riding this weekend my system was wrecked and i couldn't even do my regular strength training routine..i was a complete potato yesterday. on top of that i inhaled nearly 3k calories. i couldn't stop it..that is more than double what i've eaten any day for the last month but apparently my body was craving some food.

the good news is the 'bounce' only took me up to 211 from 210 (i was 209 sunday and 210 monday). i was worried that the quick loss last week from 215 to 209 wasn't a real loss but more dehydration.

feels good to completely blow it one day and still weigh in only 2lbs above your low point.

still shooting to drop to 199 by the end of this month and i'm back on track today so we'll see what happens. i expect to be around 210 for tomorrow's weigh in but i'm not going to panic if i'm still at 211. i'll keep my calories under 1500 the rest of the week and add some good aerobics (hopefully) this weekend to keep my metabolism running.

eta my other goal is to get out of the size 34 levis (which are getting baggy on me now) and into 33. that probably won't happen until i'm at 199. the 34s starting fitting me well around 219.

hey just thought of something. we should probably also post our 'start date' on these numbers especially for newbies coming in to get an idea of how long we've been at it. something like:

1/1/2010 - 257/211/185

that helps give people an idea of how much weight we've lost and the time period..of course nobody comes close to myth

Did 1500-1800 calories a day and rode bike and walked/jogged every day as well. Also cut out about 90% of booze.

Got down to a more acceptable weight and have now started P90X. On day 2 of that currently.

the goal here is to get to your ideal (or close to ideal) weight then do what you want.

so if i'm at 185 and i go on a 7-day cruise and gain 10lbs..so what?? i have the tools and know-how to reverse that 10lbs within a few short weeks..rather than wait until it turns into 70lbs.

life will be sweet once you're within range of your ideal weight..enjoy the hell out of some food then. a few weeks of keeping calories under 1500k/day will put you right back on target.

Good news- I'm on the 'flu- like virus" diet, which totally killed my appetite and limits me to 500-600 calories a day. I feel pretty bad, but there is a little upside. If I can lose 1lb a day for the next day or so, that will be a nice little jump start.

We had a really warm day in shreveport this weekend, and I came to a harsh realization- my shorts from last year don't fit, so I gotta get back on the wagon for real.

on the sticky and glad to see this thread is picking up again.

The flu diet can be awesome. Breathe in my directions.

The good news is the red beans and sausage are gone. The bad news is it is all inside of me.

I've been super stressed over some things the last few days and I have strayed a tad from the diet.

But....there is nothing good to eat left in the house, so back to bland sustenance.

Anyone know where I can get the P90X "program". Don't need the bars as I joined a health club. But would like to follow the routine.

i would suggest torrents. they also contain the excel files, word docs, etc. you'll need both the vids and the materials.
