Birthday season in full force- 2 cakes yesterday, 1 today, 2 next weekend, and 1 more the weekend after. The scale makes me flinch every time I walk by it.

I'm going to start running again this week after taking off last week because of the bitter cold, so at least i'll be burning a few calories.

If I can just get through january....

January is just a tough month for birthdays- wife, son, wife's aunt, MIL (dec. 22).

It's like this every year

I've hit a wall after dropping 10lbs in my first week. Gonna weigh in again tommorrow morning and get refocused. Not sure what I did or didn't do to stall me out.

Your body will stall sometimes even if you do everything perfectly. I've has several stalls that lasted from 3 to 10 days even though I kept calories around 1200. Just happens. Your body learns to squeak by with less.

Why did a dinner guest have to bring a king cake? It is screaming at me from the kitchen.

Back away from the king cake.

I guess being single has one perk. It is MUCH easier to keep bad food out of the house.

I don't know how married folk every lose a pound.

Not bad, 2.1 lbs in one week. If I can keep this up for at least a month maybe I can get under 200. Haven't been under 200 in over 20 years.

Hadn't weighed in since last Thursday morning. Still no change either way from the initial 10 pounds I lost the first week. Gotta keep on keepin on though.

OK. I'm back and ready to kick some calorie arse. Finally got the motivation to rejoin a health club. Also, found a really cool app for my IPOD called Lose it!

Look out 175, I'm coming for you!

Hey guys can I play? I'm back on the Wagon since the New Year and need someone to hold me accountable. What are the rules here, lemme know! I'll even post my weight for all to see if I have to :(, I just need someone to hold my hand while I do this.

Misstiger, those numbers are starting weight/current weight/goal weight.

This is just a way to document your progress and get feedback from others who have common goals. Also get tips to break plateaus and the occasional healthy recipe.

I made it through this weekend without too much damage, but no progress either. I can honestly say I am tired of cake (which is probably a good thing). Delicious baked orange roughy and veggies last night for dinner. Will be making that again real soon.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the support. I KNOW I can do this, I've done it before, I've just fallen off the wagon. 2 years ago I lost 51 lbs with Weight Watchers and kept it off til this summer when I let 15 lbs of it creep back on. I'm disgusted with myself but also determined. So thanks for the help, here it goes, btw I'll slap anyone who laughs at these numbers. I hunt with my Daddy and know my way around a 12-gauge

On a plateau and in fact have gained a pound the last few days even though I have been at 1200 or less calories.

Was hoping for a good week cause I have to go out this weekend.
