You would think that we all would have melted off ten pounds apiece with this heat. We hit 103 yesterday. Everybody stay hydrated!

Thank God for Rockstar zero carb, zero sugar. My friend Megan came in from New Orleans last night and we and her gf went out. I didn't drink any, was the DD, but stayed up way too late to get up at 7 AM and come to work

Energy drink, those things that are horrible for you but get you pepped up Best part of the sugar and carb free is that there is no crash because your blood sugar doesn't spike

This was always my favorite:

Now that I look at all that sugar, no wonder my hypoglycemia would act up after drinking one of those Sometimes I'd have 2 in a day! Jesus

2 days on weight watchers, and 4 lbs down.
Of course, 3 of the 4 is just losing what I added over Memorial Day weekend.

Question for Lloyd or other WW gurus: I feel like I'm eating way too much on the Points Plus system, but I'm not using nearly all of my points. Is this normal?
For instance, this was my menu yesterday:
Breakfast
Piece of toast with ham and 2% cheddar (4 points)
Watermelon (free)
Lunch
Peanut butter and banana sandwich (4 points)
Cucumber slices (free)
Dinner
Pork chop (5 points)
Grilled squash (1 points for the olive oil)
Fried cabbage (2 points for the oil)
Cucumber slices (free)
Cornbread w/ a little butter(6 points)
Dessert
Strawberry shortcake (3 points)
That's a total of 25 points, but I get 46 points. I didn't stuff myself, but ate plenty. For dinner, I wasn't stuffed, but probably ate a little beyond satisfied. Still, I had 21 points remaining and could have practically eaten 2 of everything I ate all day and still been within my points.
Is this normal on the new point system? I realize I ate a lot of fruits/veggies, but that's normal for me this time of year.

Was hoping for 150 before the beach Saturday but I'm happy where I am. There is much less to get sunburned.

Damn, looks like you did eat really well. The WW I remember we ate a hell of a lot less. It's changed a TON since then though.

hulk..try this (if you can swing it)

instead of dinner today (or tomorrow)..drink 2 beers (miller draft 64 or something like that) instead.

beer is pretty filling..and if you do that and skip dinner (just once) i will almost guarantee you will wake up 1-2lbs lighter tomorrow.

i know the alcohol might dehydrate you just a bit..but try it. every time i've gone out with friends after work and substituted 'beer' for dinner, i've waken up lighter..and been able to maintain/drop from there.

just a suggestion.

OH ETA...!! LANCE HIMSELF is riding in our ride this saturday!! GONNA GET HIM TO SIGN BARBIE BURGERS JERSEY!

I'll try. I have 2 beers in the fridge that megan brought over a week or two ago. They've been calling my name

And nice @lance. You should ask him to sign your testicles and see if he gets jealous

It can feel like that sometimes. Really depends on how many extras you cut out. Looking at your sample day, it is very lean and mean (and I am impressed you can get a 4 point sandwich with peanut butter... i cant find bread that is less then 2 pts a slice itself).

But lets break it down another way. The points are 'worth' 35-44 calories each depending on what it is (protein is worth 44, carbs and fat are closer to 35-36.. ignoring fiber to keep it easy). So with you being allowed 46 points, they are allowing you 1600-2000 (depending on how much protein you use) calories a day PLUS your 'free point food'. Depending on your size, what you do... that is a fairly reasonable/standard caloric intake for someone watching their weight.

Now if you are 'only' using 25 points... then by mathematical definition you are only consuming... at max.... 1000 calories a day (plus your freebies)... as long as you are accurately calculating your points.

Hope this helps.
