If you want a fully loaded fricking baked potato, then have one occasionally. The key is to not go back to eating whatever we want, whenever we want, in whatever quantaties we want. That's what made us fatties in the first place. Personally, I don't plan on depriving myself of any food group forever.
Boom.

That is the key. You can eat anything in moderation. Thin people eat crap too, they just don't eat crap for breakfast lunch and dinner. They moderate after big bad meals.

Unless they're one of those lucky ones that don't get fat like one of my friends He eats whatever he wants all of the time. Keeps a big jar of M&Ms on his coffee table and snacks on them all day while he sits on his lazy arse and plays Black Ops, eats fast food every day, etc. He's 6'2 156 or something like that. Dude just can't gain weight.

GUYS!!!! I JUST DISCOVERED DILL SLICES!!

***NO CALORIES***

holy crap. i just ate a 4 inch dill pickle slice and it had....1.08 calories (ONE POINT OH EIGHT) and .22 carbs (basically 1/4 of a carb).

it was freaking delicious and satisfying. where the hell have i been???

NOTE TO FREAKING SELF: STOP ON THE WAY HOME AND BUY SEVERAL JARS OF FREAKING DILL PICKLES.

if you go crazy and knock out the entire freaking JAR in a hunger-induced frenzy.....

wait for it...

wait for it........

wait for it...................................

SEVENTEEN CALORIES (basically half of one of those red/white mints you get from sonic)

hopefully a little to replace all the sodium i'm losing when i workout.

also has a good bit of potassium..so this might make for a good electrolyte replacement food.

Sorry I didn't clue you in earlier. Pickles have always been a staple regardless of what diet I'm doing.

Noone else here has provided anything against what I was saying either, so kindly shut it.

I like pickles but I can't eat them straight, have to be on or in something.

i think someone posted on here earlier about eating potatoes or other 'carb heavy' foods.

there's nothing wrong with that. just realize its not the healthiest choice you could make.

i 'cheat' periodically and have french fries or johnny's pizza or something..but i consider it in the same vein i do a snickers bar..something that may be tasty but not something i'm going to eat on a regular basis.

i am not lying about my ribeye-every-night diet. i'm not a baller but i can afford to spend $7-$10 on a ribeye (almost always buy them when on sale or in the 'scratch and dent' meat bin) because i know its damn good for me to eat that way.

in fact, mon i ate a ribeye and 4 ground beef patties, tues night i ate 2 ribeyes (around 2.1lbs total), and last night the one i ate was 1.19 lbs and had a giant salad with fresh bacon..and i've actually dropped 4lbs over last 2 days.

let's give it up for grilled ribeyes!

Jesus tapdancing Christ, I wish I could afford that

And I never meant to say potatoes are going to kill anyone, but they shouldn't be eaten daily.

Can't eat pickles for the same reason I had to give up jalapenos. Too much sodium.

God I miss jalapenos.

The shrimp poboy was freaking awesome. I am not sure if I heard Angel trumpets or Devil trombones but the chorus was singing hallelujah.

I am however dying of thirst. That really was a damn fine poboy and not just because I am dying of starvation. The shrimp were big and plentiful. Yum and yum.

Back to work.

The Crytal Light line.

A gallon of juice is a hell of a lot of calories. Just saying

Only thing they contain are 35 calories and 70mg of sodium per gallon. (They're packets that you pour into water and stir)

Errr... not quite what you said Hulk. Lester made a statement that

quote:

You can incorporate plain baked potatoes into your diet and be perfectly healthy, and lose weight.

Your response was:

quote:

I guess we'll agree to disagree. Potatoes take up too large of a portion of your daily carbs to eat one and eat as much fruit and veggies as you should have on a balanced diet.

In other words, those of us on WW who are allowed to enjoy potato, rice, etc... in moderation cant possibly, in your opinion, be consuming a balanced diet (or be healthy as Lester called it).

Is that a fair representation? Or am I somehow miscontruiing you saying you disagree that "you can incorporate plain baked potatoes in your diet and be perfectly healthy and lose weight"?

This is not a debate about 'best' or 'preferred'. Lester made a simple statement that you stated you disagreed with. By disagreeing with that statement, whether you meant to or not, you are in essence saying those of us who eat starch in moderation are not healthy and/or losing weight.

Can we take a day off from the bickering and talk more about my awesome shrimp poboy?

Hey Lester have you tried that place on Earhart and Jeff Davis? I think it is C&A Seafood Shop or something like that.

ffs

No. In my opinion, you should not incorporate potatoes into a daily "healthy" diet. Can potatoes be eaten without it being the end of the world? Of course. But I wouldn't recommend them being eaten every day.

You really need to go back to high school and learn some reading comprehension, or look for other things to crucify me on. I did not say you're not losing weight. IN FACT, I stated I know there are multiple ways to lose weight and that you can have a higher carb diet and lose weight, and even congratulated lester on his success. And you can be relatively healthy eating a higher amount of carbs. But in my opinion (spell it ... o-p-i-n-i-o-n), eating a potato or bread and things like that every day should not be part of a daily diet. It's not part of a natural human DAILY diet.

Yeah, I should have specified. I have raspberry, orange, tea, lemonade, and fruit punch.

One packet makes 2 quarts.
