37lbs hulk! dang dude. y'all are making me look like the 'puttada' wimp at my measly 63lb loss.
Myth had a hefty amount more to lose than you, and I've got even more to lose than him, so the weight will come off quicker.

exactly. so do NOT get upset if you go hardcore induction and you stall.
I've been in and out of induction for 14 months now although the last two months I haven't been close to really doing low carb.
It is odd. Sometimes I lose a lot, sometimes it is just as slow in induction as not doing induction.
Back around September, I think I dropped 14 pounds in 2 weeks getting back into induction. Then several months later, induction didn't do much of anything for me.
This time, I've dropped 7 pounds in less than a week.
I think most of that is excess water. First I was off my blood pressure diuretic for a few days so getting back on that squeezed some extra water out of me but Atkins is also a natural diuretic. I hit the facilities about twice as much on Atkins as opposed to no Atkins, so you don't retain as much water.
I've actually picked my final goal of 169 just so I can break the 60s barrier and of course the ladies like that number.

Drinking cup after cup of coffee could more than halve the odds of developing a deadly prostate tumour, research suggests.
A 20-year study of almost 50,000 men found those who drank at least six cups a day were 20 per cent less likely to get prostate cancer than those who never touched the stuff.
Strikingly, they were 60 per cent less likely than the non-coffee drinkers to die of the disease
The report was published in the May 17 online edition of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

another wobble. Up 2 heading into bday and my annual pushup checkup. (age = # of pushups)
The cake has already been ordered so I need downward movement before Friday.

Lowest I've been in around 6 years. I can't wait to hit the 220's (220, 221 whatever it takes).
ETA: Started graphing the weight loss and it is really encouraging. Thanks for the idea Cad.

its awesome! i was 197 back in april when racing season started and still 197 a couple days ago..so arguably that should make me depressed about lack of weight loss..but looking at the chart shows a clear and continuous downhill trend for the last year & 1/2 so it didn't worry me in the least about the current 'stall'.
btw, not to reopen the wound..but i stopped training and i've dropped from 197 to 192 in like 5 days.
just sayin'

182.1! Ha! Almost 181.
This round of induction plus the bike is sending the weight away super fast.
Just got back from a 20 mile ride and I am freaking dead to the world at the moment. I am dehydrated and my mouth feels like a desert but I can't muster the energy to walk 10 feet to the sink and get some water.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! God made coffee good for us.
I see 6 cups is good what about 2 pots?

My allergies have been crazy for two days. Almost non-stop sneezing. I had a salad for lunch yesterday and hamburger patties and salad last night. I brought a salad to work today and I do not want it. Anyone have any ideas for something low carb I can get from a restaurant or takeout?? TIA

steak, chicken, fish, pork, etc. along with some broccoli, asparagus, spinach, greens, or other non-starchy vegetable.

Depends on what you're looking to spend. You can grab a grilled chicken Caesar salad from McDonald's for about 15g carbs and about 300 calories. Typically if I'm in a pinch I'll get that. If that's too many carbs for you, you can order 2 mcdoubles plain, no bread, and they normally serve it on a bed of their fancy lettuce and it becomes like a lettuce wrap. Not too shabby and it's only 2 bucks. High in sodium though, very high.
If you have the $ you'll be safer ordering some sort of grilled fish, steak, or chicken from a nicer place though.
