a. how many people do you think could do the same thing i did in that situation? hell you think i could keep that kind of willpower up if we did that 3 days in a row? oh hell no. pass the fricking chips and cheese dude. i'm going in.
I am in no way saying it is easy (I never said that or would; what I am arguing is that it is not impossible). It is hard work to have will power, and yes increasing caloric burn will increase the urge to eat. Well tough shite.. if losing weight was easy, then I wouldnt be a fatass.

not some fantasy world where peope routinely workout for 1-2 hours a day and religiously don't eat the amount of food to put them on par.
See, this is what pisses me off. This is what I do, have done and have results. My efforts are not some fricking fantasy world. You are basically telling me what I am doing (with results) and what I did in the past (with results in the 150 pound loss range) were a fantasy.
frick that; I worked hard then and I am working hard now. The results are there; the results are real; and I will be damned if I sit idly by and have someone in an ivory tower argue otherwise because apparently me and my actions are not in some 'real world'.
I find it insulting that you are effectively telling me that if I work out for an hour I will not be able to not stuff my face. I find that very insulting. I find it insulting to be working my arse off and hearing someone say I am 'wasting my time' and should just stop.
Again, I am not saying it is 'optimal' what I am doing; nor am I saying it is the only way to do it.

ok peace treaty
i accept what you're saying and i really didn't mean to pick a fight with the way you're losing weight. like everyone on here i guess i get a little passionate about stuff from time to time so i apologize if it sounded like i was telling you you're 'doing it wrong'.
we're all here for the same purpose and are getting here from multiple directions.
i'll shut my piehole on this subject now..its been beaten to death

now now chilrens, we all do it our own way. What matters is that it's coming off!

OK so I ate what was served at my weekend retreat at Manresa, gained 4 pounds, not too bad I guess. Walked 3 miles per day during "rest period", probably helped some there. Red beans and rice on Saturday for lunch, hard to beleive that something so simple can be so good after 4 months of no have. Back on track today. No more cheats till 200, then I'll splurge a little.

i still stand by the fact that the toughest workout known to man or beast is the 3 weeks at the tour de france and none of the riders end the race bragging about how much weight they lost.

Have you tried increasing your Points+ intake? How does it seem to be working?
In other news, I ate and drank Saturday evening at a wedding (using my 49 extra WW P+) and I'm sure had some sodium gain. I usually weigh daily, but I think I'm gonna wait until the official weigh-in on Saturday morning....

Hi Ms Lloyd,
Yes I have accreted the points upwards and it has been most beneficial. I am trying to hover around 40 and will add a few more in a week or so.
Thanks again!!!

I over dosed on salt Saturday and Sunday at the same time my blood pressure diuretic ran out so I had a sharp gain.
Off to the doc tomorrow to get my scrips filled. I've behaved the last couple of days so hopefully some of that water weight will kindly GTF off.

I fell off the wagon. Just reporting so everyone can feel better about themselves. LOL I ate fried catfish and Mac and cheese at the sports banquet. Small portion but still the carbs were there. Back in the saddle again............

I could really get after some good mac and cheese.
Posted on 5/10/11 at 9:45 pm to TigerMyth36
I would have been OK except it was cheese spaghetti which is my absolute favorite

Me too, I love me some good mac n cheese.
I'm definitely having a cheat day this weekend though. I'm going to my grandma's house and I haven't had her cook for me in at least a 6-8 months. Her chicken sauce piquant..

lester you're better than this. i explained on the previous page why i rode 150 miles up 5 mountains this past weekend on my bicycle.
you keep cutting off my words; (see my sig), there are TONS of benefits to doing this..specifically for me its so i'm competitive in the local road races here. but its not helping me lose any weight at the moment..i've done my last 3 road races at 195-ish lbs over the last 2 months..and i'm putting in at least 200 miles a week on the bike training.
my weight during this time..? pretty much the same. not 2-3lbs different.
eta i'll dig my chart out again; i've lost 25lbs this year since mid jan..but it all came from the dieting earlier in the year. since i started seriously training in the spring (about 2 months ago) my weight has remained relatively constant and my cardio has increased by probably 1000%.
