Also, anybody else on avatar nutrition? It's $10/month, you enter all your info/measurements and it gives you your macros for the week. You can choose whether you want high fat or high carb. You weigh in each week and it adjusts your macros accordingly depending on your goal and accountability (you have to check whether you were compliant or not)
I just started using it this week. We'll see. I really like the high/low day feature. I really, really dislike the MyMacros+ app, though.. wish Avatar had MFP integration. MM+ is a lot more flexible than MFP (much easier to log custom foods/quick adds), but the GUI is way less intuitive and the database and search function are both pretty garbage.

Layne knows his shite. He is pretty much a high carb guy though.
Yeah. I've listened to a lot of Layne over the last few years and I think he truly just wants everyone to do whatever diet they can adhere to the best and hates the zealotry that comes with all of the various diets. Obviously he advocates IIFYM but ultimately adherence is the main concern... so if someone wants to do keto, he doesn't seem to really care unless they start regurgitating bad science.
He does really, really dislike Gary Taubes though

I am having my first Coke since Feb 28th. I think my kidney, yes I meant singular, is going to explode.

Yeah I like the functioning of the app a lot better and being able to set my macros but I've pretty much had to manually log everything
Even when I scan barcodes it has the wrong nutrition

I'm considering just tracking on MFP and entering the totals at the end of the day into mymacros.

Logged everything today ahead of time. Apparently there's some MFP hack where you can set your own macros without paying for premium. I saw something about it on the avatar member fb group

looks like the mobile app is $3. Might just use the desktop version until I figure it out
I don't even see the food intake on my avatar website? Do they even work together?

Someone have a simple 25 to 30 minute stationary routine?
I am not a powerhouse or someone who has great cardio like a pro rider. Just want a good interval ride that can help burn
Lately I did a 5.65 25 min workout with a 45 sec full go every 4 to 5 minutes. I was turning about 85 rpm when sitting up and 110 rpm when going. HPM was 140 at high rpm. I let the stationary set the tension. Still having trouble with the treadmill my shin splints kill me on it, but not on elliptical or track.
Any suggestions to make it better or more intense?

On your avatar profile there's a link to sync your macros to your mymacros+ username

They do, but the Avatar Nutrition website doesn't show you what you've logged. It basically just syncs up to change your macros in MM+ as Avatar changes your macros as you go along so you don't have to manually change your macros every week.
I used the custom food feature on MM+ to add the stuff I eat a lot of, so tracking that is quicker. It makes it much more enjoyable.. I still hate how often I have to go to MFP to get macros for stuff to custom enter, though, like the Blue Apron dinner I'm eating tonight.

So I need to stop using MFP? I just use the free version though.
Posted on 4/18/17 at 11:24 am to sms151t
Need to? No. I am actually logging in both MFP and MM+ right now (I'm very close to hitting 365 days logged in mfp so I refuse to give that up
)
It's recommended, though, because unless you pay $8/mo for MFP premium you can't set custom macros, and Avatar syncs with MM+.
