Hopitoulas is a good bit hoppier than Jockamo.

Wow! No need for me to try it then.

You don't at least like the Jockamo IPA?

I don't dislike it, but I don't think it is that good. I have tried it a couple of times and it is OK. I'd score it a C+. I can drink it, but there are so many better beers out there.

Yea, I know what you mean. However, sometimes it is the best option at the time. I went to a crawfish boil recently expecting there to only be the typical Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc, but I was pretty pumped when they also had the Jockamo.

Canning does have a lot of advantage over bottles when it comes to cost, light exposure and oxidation. They just have a cheap connotation for the most part.

It's becoming more and more of a trend to can beers in the craft industry.

I was told NOLA is going to go the canning route too.

If they go to strictly canning, I guess I won't be buying any.

Seriously.
Don't knock the can. 10 fidy is in a can and it's got A's across the board on beer advocate.
LINK
Nothing wrong with that.

Why not?

I'd love to be able to bring a NOLA Brown or Tin Roof Voodoo Bengal on a canoe trip where glass isn't allowed.

Cans are good for tailgating and parades too. You can't walk down the street with a glass bottle in your hand, but a can is fine.

THIS. You can fit more in your ice chest.

I was looking for some of the Heiner Brau cans to smuggle into Jazzfest, but was out of luck.

Beer is meant to be drank from glass, plus it tastes better that way IMHO.

All in your head. Cans are a lot better packaging device than a bottle. Kegs are basically giant cans and nobody complains about them.

Everyone knows the best way to serve beer is with a hand-pump tap and a solo cup.

I wish Abita would can some beer. They could even make a special one jsut for tailgating or parades. Give it its own style. I have asked Abita this for years now. All they say is they are thinking about it
