There are many that know the real Joe Leblanc here. He taught science and coached fooseball at a prominent high school in BR.

You seem way smarter than that guy.

Church's and Popeyes are owned by the same company.

I know time flies but you’re talking like 30 years ago. Copeland went bankrupt buying Churches

RBI owns Popeyes. Along with Burger King, Tim hortons and most recently firehouse subs

Lot of hate in here for Popeye's, but as noted..... Consistent lines and a planned major expansion..... Must be doing something right.

They struggle to keep stuff cooked and ready for 1 drive thru, how will they ever manage 2?
And how will they be able to hire that many “Welfare to Work” program, mad, sassy attitude women to staff the places.
All the chicken places better hope that Southern Classic never decides on large expansion because their chicken would put most of the others out of business.

People wait in lines for chick-fil-a.
Doesn’t mean it’s great.

To be fair, every Raising Canes I’ve eaten food from is simply tasteless chicken, whether in Louisiana or Texas.

The food's not bad, but the service is awful. It's off our list for that reason.

Happens all the time in Alabama too. I wouldn't say it is a uniquely popeyes thing, but there is definitely a theme.

This. The jokes about waiting for spicy and wrong orders are funny, but I honestly can't recall any issues with service at a Popeyes outside of Louisiana.

Last couple of times I went to pick up dinner, I was in and out the door in less than 5 minutes.

Popeyes in California does not taste as good as Popeyes in Louisiana. Raising Canes also sucks out west. They use different bread!

I’ve probably eaten Popeyes 50 times over the last 15 years or so and I have never gotten a wrong order.

Y’all some bitching MFers

The service sucks in Atlanta too, at least in both of the ones near us. I did eat at one in Wytheville VA one time that had good service, but the food was not very good.

Yall know that the whole pull-up and wait problem is typically not a problem outside of the South right?

It’s not a problem here. Last I looked GA is considered South despite the influx of northerners screwing up the elections.

Edit: the GA person above me has problems with their locations. So maybe it is widespread.

But CA is so enlightened, not there.
