Popeyes Chicken...dirty rice

The Popeyes near me informed me tonight that they no longer sell it. Is that nationally or just a location’s decision? (The girl at the counter said she didn’t know)
It wasn’t the best, but it was nice to have every now and then.

It is garbage, anyway. My dog wouldn't even try to eat it.
ETA: I know because it was inedible by any human around so I wanted to see if he liked it. Nope.

If I’m going to Popeyes that’s really the last thing I’m thinking about getting. I want a biscuit that might choke you to death, chicken that will absolutely put you on the shitter within the hour, or any of the other amazing forms of arterial assault they make. But never rice.

It has been discussed a few times here and the F/D board and it seems to be a national thing but some of the Gulf Coast restaurants still have it on the menu.

My FIL got some today.
Lafayette on verot.
Not my fav but I heard it was discontinued as well.
I ate it. It was ehh, but I’m from Ville to the plizzle.
We dominate that shif.

Alright downvoters, tell me......how can you defend a dish that is rice and meat, but somehow ends up the consistency of mashed potatoes and has no flavor?

I personally agree with you but it is far from the LA consensus. I also don't know how anyone eats their biscuits and enjoys them. KFC for their many issues makes far superior biscuits and Cracker Barrel is in another dimension.

We really only go there for 2 things, chicken sandwiches and red beans and rice. Nothing else. My kids and wife only want the RB@R, I get the chicken sandwich. No one wants the dirty rice

Ive had gas station chicken in Greensburg Louisiana thats better than Popeyes.
