There’s a chicken wing shortage prices are up everywhere. HEB by me has a one pack limit on them

I actually (used to) like Pluckers, but the price increases over the past 5 years or so have kept me away. Blue Store is wayyy cheaper and more convenient.

This has been happening for a few weeks now. Yes, there’s a supply shortage due to processing facilities not having enough workers. They want to process as many chickens as possible, so they are trying to sell as much whole chicken as possible. Less cutting on the line means more chickens processed. Not enough workers to cut the meat into pieces.

Maybe steak prices are higher, but I didn’t notice it with ground beef

The prices on chicken wings in the stores are ridiculous, averaging about $20 for 12 to 14 wings in my area. I’ll stick to boneless, skinless chicken thighs.

The wife picked up a big pack at Sam's for 12 bucks. Had 22 WHOLE wings in it. I think they were Sanderson Farms. I don't find that high at all.
