Here for the bar exam. Where should I go for some local pizza after my exam tomorrow?

Update: buddy wanted to go to Gendusa's, boy am I glad. That was the best Italian sausage, and the pizza was incredible. It could've been that I was starving after the exam, but it was honestly one of the best pizza's I've had. I will be back.

Somewhere besides Metairie or Kenner.

That's Amore on W. Metairie if you are absolutely limited to those two areas. If you aren't, then

Mark Twain’s.
Or if you want to step back in time, go to Tower of Pizza

I picked up Zita's (Transcontinental and almost West Napoleon) 2 weeks ago. Place was empty. Skeptical.
Pizza was above average. Will definitely go back. It doesn't really appear to be a place to dine in, there are a few tables but it's not inviting. Again, pizza was really good.

Brooklyn Pizzaria
Cafe Roma
Zita's
That's Amore (but the deep dish takes 45 minutes to fix)

Avoid Reginelli's and Theo's

In no particular order...

And really if you are going to drive to any of them might as well open up yourself to whole New Orleans area for pizza.

Mark Twain - good but not great
Tower of Pizza - Old School, I like it.

Into Orleans Parish
Echo Pizza- really great little spot, relatively new. Solid wood fired pizzas, but they really shine on the contorni.
Pizza Delicious - Personally, think it is some of the best pizza around, New York Style, but really quality craftsmanship into the toppings. Also, maybe the best pasta in city.

Theos
Mark Twain’s

Suprisingly, there’s a good Arab owned pizza place in Kenner. Papa’s Pizza. It’s great crust and sauce. Just no pork. So he does gyro etc.

Brooklyn is good.

stay away from the NY style at That's Amore.

I am always in the minority on this one but I like thin crispy crust pizza and Theos fits that bill. I really like their pizza. They usually have a good tap selection too.

The sweet corn and shrimp risotto on the menu right now at PD is perfect.

Just looked up some pictures of Brooklyns, looks absolutely amazing. I think that's where I'll go, appreciate the recommendations. I'll update my post after I try it.

Response to a few

I hate reginellis, chunky tomato sauce does not belong on a pizza.

I've heard from several people that Pizza Delicious is amazing, just further than I want to drive.
